From what I understand, the Flight Plan and Master Plan represent Yin and Yang. The conflict represents good versus evil, big versus small, control versus chaos, etc. The complexity of The Plane Scene is mind-boggling - I think hotheads are hotheaded because their feeble brains attempt to understand the cinematic masterpiece, but ultimately overheat and cease to function from the immense effort. Then they must be removed from the premises.
