When will capeshit fucking get crashed with no survivors? Brothers I'm getting sick of this trend

The ride never ends. Hollywood still makes a lot of cash with boring remakes, prequels, sequels and superhero movies. The funny thing is that they engage more and more British actors. Instead of watching 150 million $ CGI movies you could watch cheap Irish movies with Aidan Gillen that were made with love and soul.

The exception is Bravo Nolan of course. His most successful movies (The Bankmanager & The Flightplan) had to be used to promote a superhero movie about a batfurry.

Considering remaking this within the Nolanverse a la the Star Wars trailer remake

They will even reboot

the movie. So I expect a reboot of the plane scene within the next 5 years.

I'm pretty sure vidya is going to be the new capeshit before the decade is over.

Brother I understand where you are coming from. I don't enjoy the Plane Scene Extended Universe (except of course Agents of C.I.A.) because the bat film after Bravo Nolan's magnum opus was incomprehensible. I want more films, even if they are SKARCH, with heroes like Aidan in them. Problem is even Tom is in nothing but this same rehash shit, I miss when you could have high budget films that weren't super serious, but still got you thinking and were interesting. It's annoying no fims seem to fly so good these days, Hollywood's master plan appears to be inundating the market with no interesting plotlines. A shame.

What makes you say this brother?

It's not just Silent Hill and Resident Evil getting movies anymore. Maybe WoW is hogging the spotlight for now, but just consider that Hollywood is desperate to remain relevant. With that desperation as a given you can go one step further and say WoW will do for video games what Iron Man did for comic books.

>desperate to remain relevant

Brother I agree they want to make money, at the same time they'll always be Hollywood. People will watch their movies be they good or shit (as exemplified by capeshit).

If WoW sets off a frenzy of half-assed vidya movie adaptions though, Big Guy help us, I don't want my memories of games I enjoyed like Mass Effect or Age of Empires or, Lord forbid, Crusader Kings being crashed with no survivors.

I can see this. They're making an Assassin's Creed movie. Seeing how many games they were able to churn out, expect them to do the same with the movies as well. There has been talk of a Witcher movie as well which would honestly go over well given the setting and the fact that it had a tv show I think. The WoW movie, of course, is also coming. Pre-evaluated material is the way I see it. Much like comics, these things already have a fanbase and have already been put out there in another medium to test the waters as to how receptive some people were to the ideas being presented. I wonder how soon before we get a Call of Duty movie.
