Overall security in Paris is shit.
They check every bag and every person with a handheld metal detector at every entrance of every major place. And so far I've been walking around with two knives that passed every control, and a bunch of metal junk conveniently placed in a small parcel and no one wonders for a second that maybe it could be a weapon.
There sure as hell are plenty people ensuring security, but too few of them know shit about security, and most wouldn't be able to identify most gun parts.
