So everyone here saves things that may not exactly be legal in their country; documents etc.

I've got some questions for you intelligent people.

If I use TOR and save photos from there directly to a USB, is there a trace left on my computer? I assume the answer is yes, so I will also ask, how do I stay as untraceable as possible?

I use a 2012 MacBook Pro and 2008 MacBook primarily, I also have access to a PC.

Use an external drive and plug it only when you need to store or see something, it is safer when unpluged. You can also use something to encrypt it, if you afraid the drive might be stollen or caught.

Laptop, public wifi, Mcdonlands or something like that will do,

Avoid cameras and get out quick.If you go somewhere where you need to pay, wear a hat or something and pay cash.

Armor up with a VPN also, never take risks.

Basically a VPN is a condom for your computer.

You can always be tracked, but it will be harder. Also follow the >>108491 advice. I just don't agree on wearing hat, dress normal, the more you dress to hide yourself the more suspect you look and more attention to draw. Just enter there, act normally and just act normal, don't look paranoid or nervous. And yes, pay for that VPN, it is the best and you pay with dankcoins so they can't trace the person using it. Also create a sigaint e-mail.

you're asking one question and getting good answers but irrelevant to your original question. tor encrypts data on the network, it has no impact on what happens with it afterwards. use tails with persistence if you like, but know in advance that the persistent volume is not hidden in anyway.
