Those are two different parts of your brain, they're not going to necessarily support the same ideas.

I managed to get over it by subscribing to the libertarian ideal of not giving a shit about what other people do with their lives as long as it doesn't affect me.

Suddenly, a burden off your soul.

Let them kill themselves with food while I fap, what do I care?

Yeah when I see an incredibly fat person in real life I feel a little disgusted but whenever I feel like fapping 'bbw' is usually the first thing I search for.

I am in the same boat OP.

I am in shape and am helping my wife lose her baby weight so she can be at her peak physical performance but I have always had a hard on for BBWs.

I COULD ignore it and allow people to do as they wish because it doesn't affect me but alas it DOES affect me. For example they consume much more while contributing less (US lower class for example) and their heavy weight (no pun intended) on US healthcare.

It's understandable if you're attempting to lose weight from being overweight/obese, but once you begin to look like pic related and let it grow out of control you're better off being euthanized.

live and let die, they seem to be enjoying themselves.

Honestly I think the whole "healthcare cost" is vastly blown out of proportion. These fat people die when they are 50-60, right at the end of their useful working life anyway.

Compare that to a healthy person, who gets demntia and then spends up to 30 years in a home requiring round the clock care. The fatty is never going to reach that stage.

Now ask yourself which is the greater burden on society?

>These fat people die when they are 50-60, right at the end of their useful working life anyway.

So ignore the fact that society has to deal with a plethora of elevated health risks on overweight/obese citizens due to the potential for increased cholesterol, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, coronary artery disease, strokes, heart attacks and several other health concerns prior to retirement age? That's assuming they don't blimp up to become bedridden requiring constant medical care.

>Compare that to a healthy person, who gets demntia and then spends up to 30 years in a home requiring round the clock care

One in seven elderly citizens have dementia. One in four Americans are overweight. I don't know, you tell me, which is a greater burden on society?

564374 No.604

>>602
>implying elderly people don't suffer from a large plethora of other illnesses aside from just "dementia"

>implying the pensions don't cost shitloads more than the medical bills of fatties

How many megafatties do you think are on the pension? Not many.

Face it, regardless of how healthy they are, at some point everyone is going to die of some horrible health condition, and when they do it's going to cost the medical system. All being healthy does is delay the onset, it's still going to happen.

If there is a difference it's marginal at most, the whole argument is bullshit, same goes for the anti smoking propaganda.

>Pensions

Which are portions the employee's salary that they made while in the workforce.

>Face it, regardless of how healthy they are, at some point everyone is going to die of some horrible health condition

This is true, but becoming obese is not an inescapable condition unlike age. Gaining 100+ pounds is avoidable with proper diet and exercise while aging cannot be stopped no matter what kind of voodoo is involved. However I am not trying to refute that the elderly also leech on society.

My point here (And what I was attempting to convey in my original post) is that the obese do more harm than good. Let me reword my original post.

"They (The obese) perform much less in the workforce, consume more resources and add unnecessary strain on US healthcare than those within a healthy weight range because of their poor health choices."

Not sure how it is in the US but here in Australia the pension is 100% govt funded, & old people are by far the biggest drain on welfare, both in terms of healthcare costs & social security.

My point is I hear people argue all the time that fat people are a "burden on society" when common sense says its just not true, elderly people are a MUCH MUCH bigger burden, and since most fat people don't get old, they aren't much of a problem. Same goes for smokers.

>consume more resources

More food yes, but there are lots of people who consume way more than they need to. Just because someone eats some extra food you're mad? There are people who waste resources in far far more extravagant & wasteful manners.

>elderly people are a MUCH MUCH bigger burden
Yes, they are but again I am not refuting this. I am simply asserting that fat people have an impact on healthcare. Although I'll concede the fact that the fat have the largest impact on healthcare after some personal research on the subject compared to the elderly.

>There are people who waste resources in far far more extravagant & wasteful manners.

Yes there are but that was not the point of this subject now is it?

>Just because someone eats some extra food you're mad?

Not at all. I'm actually brushing up on my argumentative skills because of it.

b5dc5c No.1345

Sure, talk about all the people who get expensive obesity related diseases, versus how many who live a normal life, then die quickly from a massive heart attack.

Just think of how many smokers die that way, versus smokers who have to use a speech synthesizer for many years.

You can hate that part of yourself and think that being fat is wrong, but you can't change the part of yourself that likes it; maybe you could with years of therapy, but I don't think it's truly possible. So it comes down to the question of 'do you want to sell yourself short? Do you want to sacrifice your personal happiness?'

I walked that line for a long time, and sometimes it came out in the wrong ways and soured relationships with people, but eventually I came to that point and as long as I'm not hurting anyone else, if they're willing and happy to be who they are, I'm not going to live in the shadow of what someone else tells me I should be, act, and think like.

HAES is bullshit though, and damaging to people who are looking for confirmation bias when weight and shitty lifestyle choices are actually beginning to hurt them

You only live once. So you might as well enjoy it. There's such a clusterfuck of weight loss scams out there that people just throw themselves into out of some fat-stigma. I can't help but wonder if there really that dumbass.

At the same time I can't agree with the Size Acceptance thing either. It produces SJWs denying reality and making useless nosce.

I get it. everyone has their limit but I honestly think the healthy response to it all should be who gives a fuck?
