I saw that one screencap of someone getting banned on another board and really it's just stupid. The only reason we care if a picture comes from 9gag or lolpicsmemeparty is because they plaster obnoxious watermarks onto their submissions, going as far as to even remove the creators' watermarks.
Not to mention you can rename images however you want, for the most part. It's fun for file name threads, but nobody wants to do it for everything on their hard drive.
