I didn't like fat girls for a long time. Now I find nice round bellies arousing. I don't know if I've "settled" or lowered my standards, because it feels genuine to me. The thought of finding a sweet, humble, somewhat insecure fat girl who accepts me and appreciates me is primarily what gave rise to it, I think. I'm not even sure where that fantasy came from or why it struck me as realistic, but it seems to have taken root and grown into a (non-exclusive) fat fetish.

I think what makes this fetish worse is that it's possible to achieve, yet is an undesirable condition you and your partner wouldn't want to achieve, normally.

For example, a foot fetish is possible to satisfy in the real world, but not damaging to your partner. Yeah they can both be pretty unhealthy but the way I see it nobody has to smoke cigs at all but everyone has to eat at some point. I have spoke to this a few times. For me it is my lifestyle. I went to med school, I am very active and fit, and years and years of that demonized fat to the point it was forbidden fruit. Now it is so taboo, forbidden, etc that it is what I want most.

As I already mentioned some time ago: I'm probably attracted to it since my mom has an actual and real phobia of fat people and thus always reminded me to stay thin and made sure that I only eat healthy etc. (i.e. no sweets, …). I believe that I thus started to project my wish to get fat onto a potential partner (or women in general) instead of projecting it onto myself. I think that's similar to >>4515

Personally, I think it was my grandmother. We grew up very poor, and I was forced to sleep with her at night. She also showered me when I was young, and obviously she was naked. It goes without saying she was fat.
