Asked on a couple of other boards, but this one seems the most appropriate.
I feel stupid asking, but... Long story short, I'm in the market for a human-sized cage. I need something big enough that a fully-grown woman, let's say, put this in the range between extremely skinny 5'1 and BBW 5'5, can fit *relatively* comfortably. That is to say, they wouldn't be able to stand up in it, but they could turn over and sleep, and move about in it if permitted.
How big a cage would I need, do you think?
I've been looking at eBay and craigslist and fetish sites, I can get a 48' pet cage like pictured for around 200, but I don't want to invest that much if she won't fit, you know? We want to try a sort of long-term thing. Had these plans worked out. She wants a simulated kidnapping, you see.
I figured I'd cover the cage in soundproofing, and build a fake dresser around it. However, multiple people would be playing in this cage. I'm not even going to try at this time to find something *I* could fit in (6'1 male.)
Suggestions? Advice?

You need something home made. The problem is that most animals are quadruped, and thus much less long then humans. If you want the person able to stretch out, and they're about 5'5'', then you need about a six foot long cage, possibly about 3' high, depending on how tall she is sitting. The good news is, if you build it right, it can also be a standing cage.
Make sure it is built comfortably. Don't settle for "relative" as this will be a sleeping cage, and discomfort and pain can equal injuries over the long term. There are other things you can do to make it uncomfortable in the short term. Rice, wooden dowels across the cage, any number of short term torments.

I can only say that if you intend to soundproof it, you must not forget proper ventilation, eg put holes in the lid.
