How the hell do I apply this stuff without it messing up? ; . ;

First polish then coating. One fat line down the middle then two smaller ones at the sides. Then smooth them out without dipping. Wait for a few minutes and apply the clear coat. Toenails can take more lines.

You mean just using the brush? But the polish dries so fast!

With toenails do you still work out from the middle?

For starters, throw that shit out. From three bottles of experience, Sally Hansen's Insta-dry line is terrible because the polishes dry and thicken up in the bottle too quickly. I replaced those colors with near equivalents from Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure line real quick.

As a general rule, stay away from "quick drying" polishes and just invest in a quick-drying topcoat.

As for application, >>1820 gave good advice. The only things I'd add is to overestimate:

1) How much pressure you're using. Apply lightly so as to avoid smushing it all over the nail and causing streaks, and

2) How far back toward the cuticle you start. When we set down the nail brush, the polish as a tendency to run back a little further than we intend, sometimes leaving you with messy cuticles. Try to give yourself a slight gap instead of touching all the way back and if you feel like the polish didn't go far back enough with your first coat, touch it up with your second. If you still manage to get it all over the cuticle, just take a cotton swab dipped in polish remover and just touch it up that way.

If you're still around, do you know if this board or chanel is more active? If you know about masks and wanted to reply to this that'd be really sweet of you
