Thanks, today's the day I started shilling so it's nice to see folk here so soon.

It's just been us two using it as a beer ticking forum, local pub discussion so far and I knew I needed to pull my finger out if the board was to attract more people. Today I pulled my finger out. Also people see us as hipster snobs, we're snobs in as far as we care what we drink but we're far from hipsters. Your welcome back for a beer anytime m8

Well that led me down a bit of a wikipedia path, having not heard of Edamame and thinking Kirin was a style of beer.

If you do try it report back, however it does seem really simple recipe. I may pop into a Chinese market just to see if they sell those in England but I'm not sure(I know they are Japanese but generally speaking 'Chinese Markets' tend to cover most oriental supplies not usually found in Britain. I'm sure they charge us Gaijin/falang/weygook more money too.

Yesterday I cooked beer sloppy joes and beer doughnuts, infographic coming soon!

>not knowing Edamame

>not being a total weeb

Raise yer game m80 you can get them shelled at Waitrose but I'd have thought that health food shop next to your work would stock 'em it's quite a good shop is that. Could not help with the Kirin but maybe them Japanese nest beers would work instead?

That looks fucking wonderful. Doubly chuffed because Hoegaarden is pretty cheap in Grorious Nippon.

What's your selection of Jap beers like over there, by the way? How common/pricey are they?

Hope you enjoy

As far as I've seen we have Hitachino Nest and Ashai, really pleased with HN love their pale ale but they are very pricey! Nipponia is £12 in the local pub for a 550ml bottle :0

Edit to add how are beers over there? I remember Korea being terrible but haven't brewdoge opened a bar in Japan now? I may be wrong on that

Cheers m8, do you know how easy are Ox cheeks to find?

You should be able to get them from any market or butchers. But it ain't necessary. You can use any stewing/casserole/diced beef like this:

Hope you enjoy it.

hey, thanks. I've got a pretty good butcher who'll get shit in for me if I ask, just wondering if I needed to ring him first. Which doesn't always go to plan, the osu bucco I ordered didn't come with bones like I wanted. It working out still tasty with an addition of the oxtail for meaty depth. Am cooking another beer dinner party tonight. Irish red ale butternut squash bisque (soup) for starters with beer bread of some kind, coq a la duvel do which is chicken legs cooked in duvel. And for dessert is stout cherrys & chocolate stout mouse. I best get cracking

edited for comprehension

Cooked a tradition vindaloo last night but made it with Dredges beer twist of gueuze instead of vinegar, I followed the recipe to the letter and it wasn't even spicy, i'll cook it next week for an infographic but imma drop the sugar and maybe add a chilli for a Lil kick. Stay tuned this was tasty!!

Cooking beer pizzas basically substituted half the water for erdinger white, added chocolate stout to one pan of passata and a rauchbier in another pan of passata also in a separate pan real low and slow heat without stirring(preserves alium sugars) shallots and garlic then added brewdog Jack Hammer in tiny amounts every so often dash of salt n pepper just a little bit and some other Italian herbs, drinking left over stouts now :D

Confirmed beer pizza is best pizza, sweet stout sauce is better than rauchbier (may go well with some smoked meats)
