Brewdog - Dead Pony Club

This is a 3.8% session pale ale, a favourite and a regular in my fridge. Aromas remeniscent of melon and strawberry but on the tongue melon gives way to a limey twang. The flavours are delicate but zero malt flavours making this a bitter little ripper

Flying Dog - Pale Ale 5.5%

This beer pours lovely, a nice head stays on the glass when swilled around the glass. The aromas smelled like sweet fruits again, the smell just reminds me of an Anderson Valley Hop Ottin IPA. The taste is different, clean bitterness with a very citrus taste almost lemon but the back taste has a hint of sweetness to lift the beer a little.

I was intending to try a German pils but only the mouth stripping hoppy dryness of a Mallinsons - Centennial 4.0% will cut through the >>>/burgers/ I had for tea. To call this a pale ale is misleading Single Malt and Single Hop or SMaSH would be better and this one obviously Centennial and probably Maris Otter. Very little head retention when poured from the bottle, a little yeast to dodge at the bottom but I don't mind I love this beer, little citrus and pine pine pine. A clean beer but the bitterness is like a wonderful marriage between some dank ass hops and tea combined. There's a rose flavour in there somewhere if you're good. I love the Mallinsons SMaSH range, they have a way of really marrying the hops to the wort (isomerizing) there's very little separation in this beer.

No beer advocate :O
