Also I just found out that the year after the interview, in 1992, Harvey Weinstein exposed himself to her and she stormed away from there. Then came the blacklisting. If you are a woman and hold yourself to higher moral standards than Worst Emma, Big Harv will bring you down.

As for the conspiracy theories, she says some stuff here:

Talking With Sean Young: "Crazy" in Hollywood, Supporting Trump, and a Career That's "Mostly Over": http://archive.is/2edwo

Turns out she's anti-vaxxer and believes in chemtrails. She also talks about people screeching "transphobia" because of this little scene she did in Ace Ventura where she played a guy disguising as a woman.

Yes 100%. You become labelled difficult. I think Mira Sorvino had something similar happen to her.

I saw a video on YT yesterday discussing Anne Hathaway’s latest SJW comments, and the guy started ranking the best portrayals of Catwoman; Anne Hathaway came in last, behind cosplayers and Young, who never even officially played the part. That’s how I learned about her interest in the role. Of course, since Anne touts the party line she is a media darling, while Young is blacklisted/vilified. Fuck this gay earth.

According to the inteview she did with Hollywood Reporter still wants to play Catwoman, and if they have the balls to ever adapt Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns, she’d be a perfect choice for an older Catwoman – hell, even if they just decide to make another, original Bat-film, they should definitely give her a chance.

Fingers crossed NWR gets to make his Batgirl film – Christina Hendricks would be a great pick for Poison Ivy, Keanu Reeves should play Batman, Richard Brake (who played the Chemist in Mandy) would be a terrific Joker, and Sean Young should be Catwoman.

>No filter. Isn't she just wonderful?

Absolutely! Learning all this about her makes me like her so much more.

As for Mandy, what did you guys think about Red having Caruthers (Bill Duke) store his crossbow for safekeeping? We know Mandy loves nature and animals, so could it be him having given up hunting for her sake – same with alcohol (maybe)

 No.1890

>No filter. Isn't she just wonderful?

Yes she is, they don't make them like that anymore. *sips Monster*.

And I tell you what, even as she looks today which is objectively not what everyone thinks of when they think of an attractive woman, she be completely irresistible to me. With the looks only I'd ignore her, but then you learn she's the woman from that interview and that she is the woman who told Big Harv "I really don't think you should be pulling that thing out, it's not very pretty." (in a very Mandy-esque way, by the way) and you add her cute mannerisms to the mix and there's no way of saying no. Only saying yes and enjoying every consequence.

I'll answer Eastman later because I'm phoneposting and it sucks.

>Fuck this gay earth.

I find myself saying this with increased frequence.

That could be what I call capekino. Sounds like a tough sell though.

Also I'd like to mention she does look conventionally attractive there, but there's obvious makeup and maybe some photoshop going on. I'd bet that her real look is somewhere between that picture and Madame from Darling.

>As for Mandy, what did you guys think about Red having Caruthers (Bill Duke) store his crossbow for safekeeping? We know Mandy loves nature and animals, so could it be him having given up hunting for her sake – same with alcohol (maybe).

That would certainly explain it.

Also in those first scenes when they go to sleep at first I thought Mandy was his daughter (until he kissed her) and then I thought they were sleeping outside. Blastfighter certainly left a mark on me, kek.

Probably my favorite Black Sabbath album. Arguably the beginning of doom/stoner metal.

Hear, hear! I got the two-disc remastered Master of Reality year ago, but I grew up listening to Ozzy Osbourne’s music since my dad was a fan too. I think Solitude is one of their most unique songs, and it shows Ozzy’s range as well.

Back when I first started getting into (funeral) doom metal I found Candlemass, a band that helped pioneer the doom metal genre in the 1980s: Epicus Doomicus Metallicus (1986), Nightfall (1987), Ancient Dreams (1988), Samarithan (1988) & Tales of Creation (1989). I think they are still going at it too, they released a new album back in 2016.

A thread dedicated to in-depth discussion of Ryan Murphy’s star-packed comedy/horror show ‘Scream Queens’. Both new devotees and long-time enthusiasts of the show are welcome to join us as we go through episode by episode, discussing the plot, theories, actors, characters, music, homages and references, &c.

We’ll kick it off by watching and going over the first two episodes of season, Pilot & Hell Week, originally broadcast as a two-hour pilot on 22 September 2015.

Please don’t post any major spoilers beyond the current episode(s) being discussed, and use the spoiler function.

Loved the camerawork in the cafeteria scene – the way it just fluently follows the chanels and moves between the tables and other students without missing a beat was great.

I haven’t seen the film it references/parodies, with Matthew McConaughey, but I thought Pete did a great job aping McConaughey’s mannerisms and speech. Also, Grace looked stunning in that yellow dress. In fact, Pete’s take on McConnaughey’s style reminded me of True Detective – the suit and tie, the speech and even the surroundings as well as the investigation theme.

It was also nice to see the chanels bond and support each other – twice – in this episode: when Chanel is sharpening the kitchen knives, and when they beat up the guy in the cafeteria – “She’s not a bitch, but I am!”.

Would have loved to attend Wes’ film class tbh – the guy has a real love for horror films. When Grace confronts him about her suspicions he is doing the CIA/cowboy stance. Not a fan of the amount of screentime devoted to Zayday – she is by far the most obnoxious character on the show – can’t stand her smarmy, self-righteous attitude at all. Not to mention her ghetto-esque speech and pronunciation. Thoroughly off-putting. I mention this on the other board, when discussing Tragedy Girls, but it bear repeating: I would have loved to see Alexandra Shipp play Zayday’s character – free of any ebonics and ghetto associations; just a normal student student who doesn’t act like an entitled bitch pretending like she is trying to change the world. FFS.

That ending though… Holy smokes!

I'm not there yet but I'd like to point out something I missed last episode:

At one point Chanel says she calls Karl Lagerfeld "uncle Karl" and that he replenishes her closet each year. At the moment I didn't pay much attention to that but today I was watching a Chromatics video where he appears and I was like "that's the main guy from Chanel, isn't it?" so I looked him up. The name rung a bell so I went back to the scene and bingo!

That's the first allusion of Chanel Oberlin having a haute couture name. I don't remember more references from this season but in season 2 there's an episode called Chanel Pour Homme-Icide.

Also looking forward to watching the cafeteria scene again, kek.

I haven't watched that either but here you have something else it references/parodies. Swiftmas!

They even nailed the cell phone footage look! And of course, even the gift recipients were modeled after the ones in Taylor's video.

The haunted house with those toys is obviously a reference to Profondo Rosso in my opinion.

And that last shot with Gigi is deliciously giallo.

It's been so long I had forgot the least juicy part was the cafeteria scene and that's one iconic scene!

Eyes Without a Face is my jam too.

Poor Mandy by the way.

Since my memory can't be trusted I won't be ranking episodes until I'm done rewatching the season.

Fired that last post so quickly I forgot to comment on a few things:

>Although I haven't seen the Matthew McConaughey film, Diego Boneta absolutely nails his look and swagger.

>The way he "interrogated" Mandy was hilarious (and WebM worthy, will make one tomorrow).

>Munsch and Hester know how to make a man lose control, damn. Specially Munsch, what a bunny boiler.

>Denise and Zayday were annoying as usual.

>It was hilarious to see Chad get scared of actual dead bodies. Also that liquid was absolutely disgusting.

>Was the movie Wes was playing the same one playing in Mandy's TV?

>Don't go near Chanel if she has a knife in her hands, she could hurt you by accident.

>Who texted Hester?

The Dario Argento influence is felt the whole episode, in particular the similarities to Profondo Rosso, the spoilers are for the film and not for Scream Queens. Proceed with caution if you haven't seen it (I know webmanon has seen it):

>Key witness murdered around the time the investigators find out about her.

>Looking at old news in the library to find out more about a haunted house.

>There's dead bodies in an abandoned house.

>Those toys looked a bit old-school for 1995, also the noose-looking (it's not actually a noose knot in it) rope hanging from one doll's hand is very reminiscent of the hanged doll in Argento's film. You can see it in this trailer which is well made and doesn't spoiler the film.

>In retrospect, a bathtub death and someone dying after getting her face burned are both likely to be Profondo Rosso influence too. The bathtub played a huge role in Profondo Rosso too.

I missed a lot of this stuff on my first watch because I hadn't seen Profondo Rosso back then. Scream Queens is the gift that keepsPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

It is long overdue: a thread for the discussion of past, present and future films, TV shows (and music) featuring our beloved muse.

‘SCRE4M’, the fourth instalment in the slasher comedy series, the two seasons of Ryan Murphy’s clever horror/slasher comedy (and whodunit) show ‘Scream Queens’, the beautiful drama thriller ‘Nerve’, the star-packed dark comedy ‘We’re the Millers’ & the hit show ‘American Horror Story’ have all been talked about in the Best Emma Generals over at /tv/, but we have of course only scratched the surface so far.

Also, best Emma is scheduled to appear in no less than five films in 2018:

In a Relationship

Billionaire Boys Club

Little Italy

Paradise Hills – the directorial feature film debut of award-winning short film director Alice Waddington

Anya’s Ghost – an adaptation of the graphic novel from 2011 by Vera Brosgol. Emma is cast as Emily, the ghost Anya befriends.

BREAKING NEWS

<EXCLUSIVE: Resident Evil franchise star Milla Jovovich, Jeremy Irvine (Mamma Mia 2, War Horse), and Awkwafina (Ocean’s Eight, Crazy Rich Asians) are heading to Paradise Hills, the sci-fi thriller from first-time director Alice Waddington. The group joins Emma Roberts, Eiza Gonzalez, and Danielle Macdonald in the film, which is currently shooting in Spain.

Yeah, and it's absolute trash. Got around it, thanks. I like how, looking at the board now, there's a png in an unrelated OP that's larger than the one I kept failing to post. I'm so buttblastedly annoyed.

>who happens to not like Jenny

Oh well. Not the first, not the last. The spirit of Jenny still wishes him the best.

lol

>Can you tell she is Belgian from her French?

Not quite, it merely sounds off to me but I can't pinpoint her nationality from her accent. I bet there's regions of France that would sound weird to me too.

I lost track of time and forgot there was a national holiday today so my planned locations were not accessible. Will try again tomorrow.

You should be safe then, I think. If you don’t mind missing the match against Saudi-Arabia that is. I take it the World Cup is a big deal down there too?

It is, but not for me, I even missed my own country's game lol. I accurately predicted how it would turn out in a betting pool of sorts though (not really a betting pool as its free, but there's real prizes).

I was looking for the source of this image a week or so ago, and I was surpised to find out it was taken by a photographer from not only my own country, but my neck of the woods as well! The photo is part of a series, Hibernation II, taken at night-time.

That's superb!

I looked at the gallery and it's quite impressive (and humbling, those pictures are art, mine are craft at best).

She sings in the subway with no backup band as part as a dare to promote Nerve and doesn't miss a note! A throwback to the pre-autotune era.

<NWR: It was actually much more exciting at the BBC…

<VICE: What happened there?

<NWR: Well, apparently... in fact, let me get Donna. Donna!

<VICE: I think this studio might be soundproof…

<NWR: Really? [pauses] DONNA! [Donna the PR lady comes in] Donna, can you tell Louisa the story of what happened this morning?

<Donna, the PR lady: Ah. Well, we went on BBC Breakfast, and Nicolas had never seen it before. So, on the way there we said, “Nicolas, this is early morning entertainment, you have to be very well behaved.”

<NWR: And I was…

<Donna: And Carey Mulligan, who was there as well said, “Nicolas, you have to be very well behaved.”

<NWR: And I was!

<Donna: But you said "fuck", Nicolas.

<NWR: The presenter goes like, “So how do you do this action, it suddenly comes out of nowhere?” And I said, “Well, it’s like fucking.”

<Donna: I’d never seen Bill and Sian look so…Anyway, you can imagine, we had to turn it around pretty quickly. Carey basically did the rest of the interview.

<NWR: I mean, I thought the UK was supposed to be more liberal about this kind of stuff than the States.

<VICE: I think we are, just maybe not before breakfast.

<NWR: I guess so.
