Ok. I'm a newfag in investing. I am considering purchasing shares in a particular video company because I'm sick and tired of all the stupid fucking bullshit it's doing and I want to make some changes in that company. Any informative help you can give me would be very much appreciated.
What's the cons and pros to owning stock/shares in a company? What exactly does being a shareholder entail? Does being a shareholder give you some kind of power in making decisions in the company?
Please help. Thank you.
As to the name of the company? Pic related.

You better own a lot of their shares brah. Think of owning shares as buying votes. The more votes you buy, the bigger say you have in policy. The more shares you have, the more power you have in decision making. As a shareholder you will be able to vote for who you want as ceo or who sits on the board of directors. To know for sure what a company's policies towards shareholder powers are, check their governance policies.

>>391>>392Buying enough shares to have ANY kind of impact in business policy and decisions would require being a shareholder with over 10% of their total shares in your possession. That would be VERY expensive.

I own Nintendo. They had a huge surge in price when the news went out last month about their involvement in mobile games. They're still a great value and I absolutely encourage you to buy their shares.
I write articles for Seekingalpha.com, and Nintendo is one of the companies I have been promoting recently.

And what are those great changes that you're gonna make in the company? Don't be delusional, those $2000 that you saved up from your part time job aren't gonna change the internal structure of a company.
No but srsly, lets imagine you have a substantial amount of purchasing power. What are your plans? What are you gonna change?
