First of all, there are any number of legitimate reasons why people use Tor that have nothing to do with skirting the law.
Given the nature of this board, it should not be difficult to imagine someone not wanting to post or even browse without the protection of Tor. Even for those who may have a perfect record with regard to staying firmly on the right side of the law.
Surely, anyone here must realize the reality of, at the very least, the social consequences that are pretty-much guaranteed for anyone who would be identified or linked with a site of this nature in any way whatsoever. (No matter how unfounded the assumptions may be, most people WILL make them.)
That would be true even IF everything here were unquestionably legal throughout the world, which happens not to be the case.

What is and is not legal regarding depictions of under 18s is intentionality unclear. Just look at the Azov Films case, many people were imprisoned for something that was supposedly legal. Its is also the case that the law changes, it is probably not illegal to browse 8chan right now in time however this may change. Browsing a place like this can and will be used against you in a court of law. Using tor adds an extra layer of protection, I see no reason not to use it.

I also think that it's about time we realize that the government really isn't our friend - especially after the revelation of all the recent suveillance scandals and the lack of proper transparency during their "Resolution" - it should be pretty obvious that they simply don't care about the ordinary citizen - all they are interested in is maintaining the status quo for them and their financiers and they are willing to bend every rule in the book in order to achive that goal if neccessary. Like George Carlin said - they only want obedient workers - people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do all the paperwork - but just dumb enough to passively accept all the dwindling freedoms and benefits. Its all a gray area. An image becomes unlawful mearly based on the intent of the owner. Porn is defined by any media that is intended to provoke sexual thoughts or feelings. A boy completely covered in a Darth Vader costume, standing straight up, can become illegal pending on why the poster posted it.
You can in fact post fully nude boys so long as the purpose is to show the beauty of the human form and to have a discussion on the appreciation of such art. So long as the boy is not participating in sexual activity in the exact image, it is lawful.
A lot of people try and ban images of people before or after they performed an action that would be illegal, but the media itself is whats on the choping block, not what other media it can be linked to. A boy on a beach with an erection is not pornagraphy. Its a natural human response and at lower ages, is uncontrolled and not related to sex in the slightest. If the poster of the image said he posted it with the intent of provoking sexual thoughts or feelings as apose to just admiring the physical form and naturism, THEN the image should be deleted and the poster possibly banned.
It might be worth posting the laws on these issues for the main countries that use 8chan. England, States, Austrailia. That would help other members understand the laws we are able to follow on this board.

A very large number posts have been made by a user or a number of users via tor recently. They do not meaningfully contribute to discussion and have been bumping very old threads for no reason. Posting from tor is fine and so is bumping old threads to try and renew discussion. Doing this 100+ times a day is not.
