Aright, some revelations in how most of the gamer gate boards are working, and who they are run by has caused me to post this.

Gamergate has lost. The SJW's have derailed it through a few tactics.

- in group fighting (example: HOLY SHIT THEY ARE REMOVING ALL ECELEB THREADS)

- killing operations (example: [current operation] is shit and we shouldn't do it because it doesn't do anything)

- killing initiative (example: We should wait for [something] before we do [something else])

- lumping gg with enemies (example: [anything to do with muh pr])

Lets face it, gamergate was excellent for /pol/, a great number of people were drawn in to us through it. If we want to have great success we need great numbers, and a great cause to unite them.

I propose we start a movement for ethics in all journalism. We can easily cite hundreds of incidents in journalism as a whole that underline it as a corrupt industry focused on money, not real issues.

For this to work, we need:

- Some main operations that need to continue until the movement's end

- Some memes to keep up initiative and interest through shitposting

- No regard for media (coverage of it, good or bad, is still coverage. The only good move they can play there is to ignore us, and they will take the bait knowing them.)

- A solid end game

NOW GET SHITPOSTING FAGGOTS.

Gamergate fell because it let itself become shifted. It came together as anti-censorship, anti-corruption movement. We all saw the Gamers are Dead articles, we all saw how the press shat on gamers for having the balls to speak out against their franchises being mishandled.

The issue was, the main perpetrators had SJW allies. And if there's one thing that the SJWs are good at, it's making something about something else. In this case, the diversion was on how gamers did not want women or minorities in their games or crowds. And as they were already an enemy of gamers, it wasn't hard to get the two camps fighting. Which was a terrible waste of resources for GG, because look how battling that front has dictated the style of the whole war. They're fighting SJW influence, trying to punish them for their hypocritical behavior. Trying to one up them for good boy points.

Ergo, while OP's writeup is accurate, it is entirely worth noting that the SJW front in itself was a derailment.

Now, I've talked about this a few times in other places, but I feel it once again bares saying: do not identify your movement. No 'national' banners, no central identity. You can congregate wherever you like, with whomever you like, but as soon as you forge a collective identity, it defines the movement. And in defining your movement, you decide what it is for and against. And in that, you the have a weakness. A hundred people asking for the same thing is a mob. You don't know who of them are hardcore and should be taken out, and who would end up a casualty. If that same hundred people had half their members proudly wearing an armband, you now know that there is an organization piloting this mob. You know who is a civilian and who is a combatant. Gamergate was able to be tarred, constantly, by the media. As such, who can blame GG for trying to defend itself against that.

Thoughts?

No one cares about journalistic ethics. We should only care about winning.

It is the path to winning. With more news coverage, come more exposure. That means an influx of people coming into /pol/. With greater numbers of redpilled people, we can organize large scale irl.

GG was definitely misrepresented to the public, but at the same time the movement itself was subverted by SJW's and so-called "moderates" who refused to believe that cultural marxism even existed. The movement carried some weight initially but died quickly as soon as the "but don't hurt anybody's feelings!" people showed up.

Shifting focus to journalism as a whole might help, but without a catalyst to get the ball rolling, you're just going to end up with the same 2-3 people from this board spamming images and accomplishing nothing. GG had the 5 Guys Incident. Without an equivalent, you won't get off the ground.

The Gamergate Mascot is too depressed looking. She looks like a total LOSER, which is why gamergate LOST. She looks defeated. All we have to do is maker her happy again. If we make gamergate's mascot a winner, then gamergate will win!

She looks pissed off and like an everywoman to me, and has a basic enough design to be adapted a million different ways. She was never intended to be a mascot, it just kind of happened with the anon thing for waifus and board-tans. Vivian was one of the things they got right.

Spearheading any sustained grassroots movement like GG, the Tea Party, and OWS will end up the same way: co-opted, defanged, and then either killed or folded into the establishment. If you want results with this endeavor, my advice is to use the hit and run tactics that /pol/ used so well and to draw as little attention to yourself as possible. The reason why I say the second is because of the massive blowback from Gex's video. /pol/ didn't gain numbers, but post quality and intelligence dropped like a stone and the amount of shills there skyrocketed, to the point where they're seriously going ahead with a Chanology ripoff against the Freemasons.

Gex showed polacks that they will get the help of other polacks to spread their creations, so we'll see an exponential growth of newfags for a long time, only from the stuff anons are working on right now.

And good oldfags are leaving because the /x/-tier unironic magickkckckkkkk shit and bluepilled Presidential race spam make up 90% of the board. When's the last time we saw a flash op take off?

Regardless, anything that starts needs a hierarchy if it is going to persist, a single vision to keep everyone on track. GG and OWS proved that without outsiders to form a hierarchy, it becomes democratic and open to co-option, and that it's easy for grunts to turn on builders due to tall poppy syndrome. The Tea Party and proved that people can play outsider, steer the movement to their own ends, and twist it into a vehicle for their own careerism. The only way to avoid this is structure and segmentation. The builders build, the footsoldiers fight, and the leaders assess and plan.

And get infiltrated and and destroyed by those who would like a private or government army?

There are reasons for all the NATO countries lacking nationalist parties, and it's not because they all sucked at organizing.

The reason we are having success, is the focus on arguments and memes, rather than orgs, that only get destroyed anyway.

And because you stay decentralized to the point of being individual cells. There is no pure inoculation from co-option other than secrecy.
