GUYS. We need to do this properly. As with any research bureau, we need to record things. We need to PROVE that the memes have broken into real life.
So I think we should be documenting all instances of real life memes before anything else. The 4U plane, Ben Garrison, etc. After that, we should all participate in one experiment, Meme-00. This would be the basis of future research and if successful, would be VERIFIABLE PROOF that the introduction of virtual memes into the real dimension CAN BE DONE.
What do you think?

When I think of the basic idea we have I think two things
>either
The ultimate meme for us to create, considering the school of thought that what we are creating in doing this are actual gods of sorts, is 'god of truth-man meme' and conjure up a force that forces the truth to the surface to be seen by all and defeat lies.
>Or
If, what we are doing has nothing to do with creating a God but simply bending the fabric of reality through thought for a short period to bring about change, then the ultimate meme to work on would be 'crashing all the planes, fires rising and the corrupt rich being tossed in them'
In either case at the same time we should make a simple meme. Something that could prove to us that there is credibility in this idea. The meme should contain the wording or imagery or attitude which would conjure up the result.
It would have to be something that is news worthy so we will know it happened. I'd like to stay away from crashing more planes for now but who am I to argue with the hive mind from whence this meme will form.

I agree with what this anon said, making something out of nothing is too far out of our league at this point, but in the future we might be able to do it. At this point, we should nurture a young, yet growing meme (pic rel?) and try and replicate the conditions it needs to appear in real life. Right now, we should be focusing on recording and analyzing previous cases of memes breaking the 4th wall - Look at the circumstances with which they happened, the conditions they happened under. Look at everything that could have caused this meme to come into reality.

Consider the following: Your advertisements are shit. Whenever I see you guys advertise on /pol/, it usually has a picture of Spurdo. Don't do that. People are still pretty fucking upset about /int/, and spamming their poster boy isn't helping. Second of all you need to give an extremely detailed reason that memes are the way to go. None of this three sentence bullshit I keep seeing on /pol/. Act like you're onto something, elaborate. Feel free to work with this.
This seems like a stupid idea, but consider this. The jews have infiltrated our countries through mixing, adopting our last names, and all the other ways we like to talk about, but we don't talk about them infiltrating the culture enough. They have infiltrated the culture, and it has been much more effective than most people think. The average dipshit in your country. Imagine that person. That person and their shit political views are the result of cultural infiltration. The jews own just about all forms of entertainment. The average person will revolve around at least one form of entertainment. TV, movies, comedy, music, all jew owned. Their politics are spread through these mediums. This is the reason why people white knight the jews even though a lot of people don't know anything about the jews. This is the reason people are pro race mixing. This is the reason people hate national socialism over communism even though communism killed WAY more people than national socialism. I could go on and on. Cultural infiltration isn't a hopeless situation. We can do the same thing, but promote our politics instead. This is the idea we're talking about. What can the people on this website do better than anyone else? Memes. We have the best memes. Other websites try to make memes like ours and fall short. Normalfags fucking LOVE memes, OUR memes. Do you remember "Hitler did nothing wrong"? That's one of our memes. We created that entire situation. Sometimes when Hitler is mentioned around normal people, they'll say "Hitler did nothing wrong". That's us influencing the culture. It is possible, we just need to focus on it instead of waiting for happy accidents. We can take the culture back by utilizing what is arguably our greatest strength.

point out some marked feature of the SJWs i.e. flaming bright hair, armpit hair, or those giant glasses they wear
once they have been mocked, they are opened up to attack on their ideological structure because people stop assuming that they are right (mocking something inherently opens up the possibility in the mind of the viewer that there is something wrong with that thing to begin with - it softens them up for an attack at the root of their ideology by reducing how seriously the viewer takes the mockee)

Assuming that SCPs can become reality, we also need at least a rough estimate of how many people it takes to post a certain SCP, and for how long, before it manifests.
How long had /bane/ been in existence before the real-life banecrash happened? How many people were posting on the board the day of the crash? These are important questions to consider.

I'm personally of the opinion that you should stick to small and innocuous SCPs until the process is better understood
I mean, you people inadvertently crashed a place killing 100+ people and now, with little to no idea how you even did what you did, you want to make sweeping changes to the entire planet using SCPs
I vote keeping it simple and light to begin with before you accidentally start a nuclear war or something

The universe is full of patterns that appear in everything, like the Golden Spiral or Fibbonacci sequence. It's possible that by creating these patterns through SCPs, they start to act like they were there all along. Most, if not all of the numbers in the 4U crash correspond to the Bane scene. Humans follow the pattern by making art and quoting lines, the universe follows it with actions, coincidences and numbers.

We need to start from nothing because we need to isolate what exactly it is that gives memes power.

We need to test these all individually to find out.

>We need to start from nothing because we need to isolate what exactly it is that gives memes power.
I believe it has something to do with the collective consciousness of groups of people. Much in the same way that a simple belief can change things in the human body (placebo effect).
Now, the real question is what causes certain memes to manifest and others not to?
There must be some inherent power in the meme, or something within it that allows us to give power to it.
We must dissect every meme that has manifested and look at it's progression. There have to be similarities that match up.

>I think that the only reason a meme would catch on is because of a property of the meme itself
But is the property of the meme what causes the magic, or is it what causes people to pick it up?
IE: Are we 'casting a spell' or are we dispersing a spell for millions of people to cast for us?
>>3976
I suspect this too, but I suspect that the meme itself is not just a way to cultivate consciousness, but also a focal point to make the magick more effective, or even to allow it to even occur.
I'll put together an experiment for us to participate in to first measure the effectiveness of visualization with no explicit meme.

Unrelated, but might I suggest using CompendiumNG for mind-mapping?
It's non-hierarchical (meaning you can create loops, you're not stuck with a root/branch/node/branch/…/branch/leaf structure). It's very open-ended, assuming as little as possible. It includes MySQL support for multi-user interaction. It is multiuser (though one-user-at-a-time with the default Derby-driven DB). It can store files and resources in the database itself (Derby only).

Additionally, and again [mostly] unrelated:
In reference to my thought map, I'm thinking this(*a1) will need to be somehow integrated into the process of modelling or mapping meme-structures.
Ultimately memes are like a programming language, though an associative one with some semblance of logical control (if, then).
I do not wish to convey that a rigorous Boolean algebra/Lambda calculus for memes can be developed. However, this does not preclude the development of models which are at least somewhat useful at simulating certain phenomena…
