If you have a board with little traffic, post it on this thread. Take a look at the boards other people have posted, and if you find boards that you enjoy, make a sticky on your board linking to it. This "advertising" doesn't necessarily need to happen between related boards, it is just a matter of preference by the board owner.
I suggest we all make sticky threads on our respective boards with the same subject, so we know what board owners are also participating in this.

Important notes
1. Revolt is not aimed at overtaking or replacing gghq. If either of these things happened, fine by us, but we are aimed simply at having a more open minded and free platform for gg discussion and related happenings.
2. What do we allow? Pretty much everything within reason, make sure to check the charter.
3. Why use ggrevolt? On the existing GamerGate board, users are made to follow a rigid set of guidelines when it comes to content. This goes far above and beyond simply keeping things on topic, as certain topics, methods of attack, and discussions are banned there. Revolt on the other hand offers a board which keeps things on topic, but allows ALL related topic matter to be discussed free of tone policing or other rule faggotry.

I have never actually won a single one of these threads. Everytime I see that comically anthropomorphized banana holding his peel in a suggestive manner, likening the peel to clothes and his peel-less nature to human nudity, I bust up laughing. This happens every time, no matter where I am, be it the house or the bus or in class. Sometimes I laugh just thinking about it. This is a dark memory but a few months back I had just gotten done with a fit of laughter caused by one of these hilarious threads. Suddenly my mom walks in and she's crying. I attempted to suppress the growing urge to laugh but it was getting more difficult. Face red, tears running down her aging face, mom grabs my shoulders and says "Your father's dead."
It was at that moment that I couldn't hold back anymore. I burst into a banana-induced fit of laughter, but the horrible news drew tears to my eyes. I laughed while I cried, tears streaming down my wide open grin, memories of daddy resurfacing and being melded and combined with the naked banana.
I lost two things that night.

CSS Help Thread
Can we get a board CSS help thread going? I know there is a theme thread but I wanted something a little more focused on helping board owners with problems with their board's style and such. I've been through my own problems and I've mostly figured them out over time by just reading over other board's stylesheets by viewing the page source.I'd be happy to help with what little I could since I'm not very experienced in this but I'm getting there. It seems each new update Hotwheels brings it breaks something on my board's CSS. Like a few days ago the hide/filter/report/delete dropdown menu was showing up completely black and a few updates ago it completely broke my board's options menu. Both were surprisingly easy to fix after digging in the page source.
Right now I'm trying to figure out how to make the quick reply box's default size wider so the add image button(+) isn't pushed down below the browse files button.

Founding a Board Ring
Hi, I am the board owner of the relatively newly claimed boards /happy/ and /roze/ and am wondering if any one would like to join me in founding the board ring "United Boards of 8ch" (name could change).
Right now, boards are loosely linked together. The idea is to have a ring of boards covering a variety of topics for a range of different people. This ring would be something like a group, in which every board within the group would advertise everyone else. These owners would be given the chance to work together, as a team, or simply ask others for advice. This ring would also make our boards more united and secure, for there is strength in numbers.
This ring would not disallow anyone from promoting any other boards they want to promote, but they would show that they are a part of the ring and have a link to all of the participating boards (link to a separate page with links or an info-graph maybe?).
Perhaps there would be a groupchat for all of the board owners to be able to communicate easily with each other and hang out.

Still small, but I think it has a potential to grow. There's plenty of people who enjoy LP content, and there's plenty of good LP content that isn't aimed at a young audience. Most importantly, it already has a userbase, it's just slow. It also has a few content creators, from amateurs to content creators with a small following, and plenty of people who know what kind of advice to give new LP creators.

Yes I know this is getting tiring. But with each passing day, I'm more disappointed in what has become of /intl/.
I haven't been on /intl/ since the beginning, but I've tagged along quite early on. So I can tell you /intl/ isn't just a shitposting board (I've heard some people say it's the [s4s] of 8chan), it was a legitimate International board, with threads on countries, banter, everything that belongs on such a board. Unfortunately, /intl/ wasn't being archived, so if enough people say /intl/ was always about shitposting, it becomes the truth.
/intl/ needs fresh blood. It needs a shake-up. Plus, since everyone has made sure all of 8chan is informed of how faggy everyone on /intl/ is, we also apparently attracted some people who legitimately believe the purpose of /intl/ is to shitpost and spam other boards and ourselves.

And what makes /intl/ illegitimate? The fact that for some reason, the rest of 8chan is convinced it's only purpose is spamming other boards, complaining about rulefags, and destroying 8chan in general?
I imagine the majority of people on 8chan are people that left 4chan because of distrust in moderation team. Because of dick moves 4chan mods got used to doing. You see, this is the kind of moderation soma does on /int/. When avatarfags first appeared in January, and after the first anime spam on the 4th of February (which led to the strawpoll calling for no-anime-Friday, which was followed by another anime spam and AAAAAAA counterspam on Friday), to which soma responded by starting to avatarfag himself and scoff at the userbase. It's all in the archives, can't make this shit up.
And ever since then, it's been only going downhill. Desufags tagged along at some point. While desubong (the one from UK) looked okay at first, he later proved to be a tremendous faggot, responding to every joking line with a wall of text. It was also impossible to do actual serious discussions with them, as when refuted, they'd simply repeat the refuted point and call you stupid.
You see, this is the kind of faggotry we wanted to fly away when moving on /intl/.
But, it looks like the butthurt mods and their friends on /int/ decided to get the rest of 8chan on our backs for defying their moderation and making a board of our own (as hotwheels said, if people don't like the moderation, they can always make their own board), and apparently most people were gullible idiots and took the bait. The whole thing came to the tipping point with that /fatpeoplehate/ exodus (which didn't even happen), and /intl/ spamming them (despite spam being big part (for you) baneposts, and an active raid thread on /b/), followed by [Desu], the de facto board owner of /b/, actually making a sticky calling for raiding /intl/ because it was apparently us who raided /fatpeoplehate/.
What does "us" even mean on imageboards? Nothing. There's no collective "us" on an imageboards, we're all anons, and that's it.

There's not much point in deleting spam. You can always just bump the relevant threads and ignore it. If anything, it ends up clogging the catalogue.

The whole not deleting spam thing started because the first board owner rarely even logged in and never bothered to moderate the board. And nobody cared then because the board wasn't getting spammed daily yet.
So what's the thing I've learned from this? Some people really have too much spare time and too big egos. Those some people are the least qualified to run boards responsively, yet they love to do it. Since 8chan has this whole hands-off policy regarding board moderation, once they become board owners, they're the king of this castle. And if you dare leave their castle and build your own, they'll use their tremendous faggotry to besiege your castle until you give up because you don't have all day to keep rebuilding what they have destroyed.
So please, do come and help /intl/. And please, wake up, and see that we're not some [s4s]-SA hybrid. A board's quality and relevance depends on the people posting there, and we're lacking in this right now. Because with every day of this, more and more sane posters lose all hope and just abandon ship. We've been losing users since March, and I don't see them coming back if metafaggotry on /intl/ goes over critical levels. As for /int/, it's already too late for that board.

I was thinking about that tranny faggot on Leddit who tried to make that poor bastard write an essay to get unbanned from his subreddit and it gave me a sexy idea for a board. This board would be run by a dominant Master and he would bully all of the users who post on it by sexually lording His hotpockets over us. Master would whip everyone into shape by micromanaging our behavior and everyone would be good for Master. Master wants what He knows what is best for us and we would be on our very best behavior for Him. If we are bad and we do something to get banned from his board, then He can give us assignments to show that we are very sorry to come back and post on His board and receive His attention.

Wheelz has been listening to people by getting rid of the top 25 at least temporarily and removing some of the incentive to ignore the fact that there are literally thousands of boards on this site, but still it seems like it's impossible to get any posters. Advertising your board on other boards seems to just lead to people being annoyed with you.
Is there even any answer to this? Are we all doomed to have our boards remain unnoticed unless 8chan somehow got a hell of a lot more regular posters?

Lets suggest ideas for boards we would like it to exist but we don't have the knowledge/time to create it and be moderators, but sure would be constant users and maybe lesser moderators.
Support posts you find interesting in some way so that possible board creators can have an idea of what boards would be more demanded.
I think a board for discussing relationships would be interesting, a place to get tips, ask for help, etc. I thought on this as a board for marriage/relationship situations, but I think it would be ok to let any kind of close/personal relationship to be discussed (family, co-workers, friends, etc). It would also be better as a SFW board.

own posts and they can see if a thread is bump-locked or not. The CSS is a very tweaked
version of Tomorrow with elements inspired by other boards.
Posters are called Professor by default so everyone is on more or less on the same level of
elitism, and are encouraged to engage in discussions surrounding science news, papers, or
whatever else there is to discuss.
It has been low traffic for a while so some shitposting is allowed if only to fill the board
up with something (some dank memes could have its use), albeit porn and such will just be
removed even if it's spoilered. Any pseudoscience/religion/supernatural discussion is allowed,
but when/if things pick up it might need its own containment thread.

Regarding recent events, during the previous board migration my board, gg2, acted as a place of refuge until a new gamergate board was chosen.
Originally, I made the board for archiving and research purposes only, not to be a replacement of the primary gamergate boards. However, during the first migration the board became a backup board, so now as part of our charter we exist in case something very dire happenings and a need exists for yet another gamergate board.
There are alot of clones and replicas of gamergate out there, however I believe if push came to shove the three best alternatives to gghq would be:
1. /gg/ (if it gets a transparent owner)
2. /gg2/ Which I own (currently no mods, mods would be chosen by straw poll votes)
3. /burgersandfries/ because the owner is a known digger/research anon from /v/ originally.
At present as I said elsewhere, I do not believe it is entirely necessary yet to start another board migration, and that it might be damaging, however I do recognize alot of poeple are really upset right now with how things are going, so I wanted to remind everyone that this board exists.

If you are a low traffic board owner(LTBO) and are desperate to get some activity for your board, this is the place where you can gather with other desperate low traffic board owners to exchange posts with them. Let me explain what this means - One LTBO makes a post on another LTBO's board. The latter reciprocates by returning the favor.
These are the recommended characteristics for a LTBO to participate in the post exchange
1. LTBO must have a trip with which you can identify yourself here and in the boards in which you exchange posts
2. The board owned by LTBOs participating in the exchange should ideally have relaxed moderation.
This is the recommended protocol for exchange
First, the LTBO(advertising LTBO) wanting to participate in the exchange makes a thread here with his tripcode thereby signalling his intent. Other LTBOs post in that thread with their tripcodes expressing their desire to exchange posts.
Then agreements are made in the thread if both parties are agreeable.
Thereupon each time an LTBO makes a post in the advertising LTBO's board he notifies him in this thread whereupon the advertising LTBO is expected to reciprocate.
Repeated failure to reciprocate will automatically cause other board owners to complain in that thread and eventually lose interest
This is an artificial method of board growth. It is expected that in time this artificial growth will translate into organic growth

Board is dead right now, as it is basically brand new (I created the board back in September of last year and it was pretty small, but there were posters, but it has since died, so I wiped it) but you can help change that!
Also, if you see people asking for game servers on /v/, direct them to that board so they can put their server info there instead of directly on /v/. The idea is that it can filter out people who aren't really looking for serious games and only looking to join servers to cause trouble. Advertising your server directly on /v/ tends to lead to that.
