You're certainly welcome to make suggestions. It would be interesting to see if a monochrome palette could work, but I don't want be forced to use white font anywhere as a result. Sepia may be a better option simply to allow for more color variation.

Thus far I've kept the default color because the board is a descendant of 4chan /tv/. Instead I've opted for more subtle style changes (which actually amount to several dozen lines of CSS).
