Unable to figure out where to ask whats good software (/tech/ bans this, /g/ doesn't talk about it as much as I though), I decided to finally bite the bullet and start a board.

/softrec/ is for software recommendations.
Windows, Mac, and Linux.
iOS and Android.
Ruby, Python, PHP, Bash, Node, etc.

And nobody says "install gentoo".
