I wouldn't say it's that peculiar.
I think it's somewhat natural for people to want to say their piece. But I also think that sometimes we don't realize if it's the most wise or helpful thing to do, since it's coming from ourselves. I could understand why someone would say such things out of good intentions, but I just thought it would have been wiser to just not voice a stance on the previous board owner, as either stance has the possibility to bring about negative reactions.
The rest of this is more of an aside, not really directed to the post I quoted:
More so than a complaint, I was just trying to offer a bit of insight and advice to the new owner. My stance on the previous board owner had no bearing in the advice I gave. I also gave advice to the previous owner–much of which she even followed through with–because at the end of the day, I thought the board was what mattered most. And that's what matters to me now. I don't want the new BO to go through what the previous one did because when the BO suffers, so does the board.
I tried to make all of that as brief as possible, but man it's hard. There's more that could be said but it may do more harm than good. The only reason I responded again was to make it known that I've got nothing against the new owner and I'm hoping for the best. I'll shut up for real now.
