/boards/ is for finding/advertising boards.
Use the stickies to leave a "permanent" link to a board, but don't post duplicates in the stickies. You can also make a new thread for advertising a board. If you know of a cool board that isn't here, feel free to post it even if you didn't create it. Rules

Also check out the dynamic boards list.

A SFW science board

Pretty much any discussion is allowed (within reason; most things can relate to science).

LaTeX (disabled site-wide?), pdf uploads and code-tags are enabled. Users can delete their

own posts and they can see if a thread is bump-locked or not. The CSS is a very tweaked

version of Tomorrow with elements inspired by other boards.

Posters are called Professor by default so everyone is on more or less on the same level of

elitism, and are encouraged to engage in discussions surrounding science news, papers, or

whatever else there is to discuss.

It has been low traffic for a while so some shitposting is allowed if only to fill the board

up with something (some dank memes could have its use), albeit porn and such will just be

removed even if it's spoilered. Any pseudoscience/religion/supernatural discussion is allowed,

but when/if things pick up it might need its own containment thread.

If anything is missing don't hesitate to make a suggestion in the Meta/General thread >>>/science/22 .

You can also submit banners and flags there.

A small look at what's already there:

>Solve this

>>>/science/20

>Scientific Rigor

>>>/science/54

>Let's explore transsexualism

>>>/science/103

What scientific field interests you the most?

Enjoy!

>Researchers at The University of Texas at Austin have discovered that a genetic variation in the FOXP2 gene is strongly associated with the ability to learn a foreign language during adulthood.
