Welcome to /boo/, a scary place for scary things!

/x/ is and always has been the "paranormal" board, and it walked the line between being a place for discussing the paranormal and a place for discussing general spooky stuff. Now that /fringe/ serves as the better go-to place for paranormal discussion, I felt that general spooky things needed a place to call their own.

To summarize, this a place to discuss the horror genre (movies, games, literature etc) and anything that falls into the general realm of spooky/horror, be it real or fake.

RULES

1. Be nice! Don't bully!

2. Hide anything pornographic behind spoilers.

3. Name/tripfagging is only allowed if you actually need to use it. Otherwise, keep it anon.

4. Read the catalog to avoid duplicate threads.

5. Contain all meta and rules discussion to this thread.

Due to a scheduling conflict, n1x_ will be unable to start Modern Foreign Horror until 10:11 pm Pacific, Friday October 30. (That's 0511 UTC, on the morning of Saturday, October 31.) I was intending to run a film after his set, but instead I will run one before his set, at the original 8 pm (0300 UTC) start time.

So here's the new plan:

I will show Alien, then as the out-bumper, I will re-run Thriller.

Switch channel to http://connectcast.tv/n1x_ at 0511 UTC (10:11 pm Pacific)

n1x_ will then show the three Modern Foreign Horror films. I don't know what has been chosen, so I cannot provide you start times for anything but the first one.

• If he's not ready to go by the end of my first bumper, I will run two more movies – Pitch Black and Slither. I cannot say if/when the Modern Foreign Horror presentation will be re-scheduled.

• If he does make it back in time to take over after the first film, the two films named above will be run prior to tomorrow's Modern American Horror presentation.

Well, it looks like n1x_ will not be in a position to take over, having told me his earliest ready time would be around 10:30 PDT and we'd already be committed to the second movie by then. Therefore we're going to the backup plan, which is:

ConnectCast has failed again, just like it did last Friday – with SIX MINUTES to go in the first movie. Last time it came back after about 40 minutes so I'll give it up to an hour (assuming anyone stays around).

However, I will probably drop Slither from the schedule and only show two movies because of the delay, assuming we get back on the air at all – and this will be my last stream until/unless I can find a more reliable hosting site. I've fucking had it with ConnectCast.

So I found an old story I wrote in high school a while back.

Do you guys want to read it? Its kind of spoopy…

Its also kind of shitty too, I wrote it at like 3 in the morning on a school night and never edited it after completing it

My English teacher said it was really scurry though and I got an A on the project so, I imagine it can't be that bad… right?

I don't know, I think it would be decent at worst, but it would be nice to hear some critique though. I want to get back into writing and I stumbled onto this on my google drive, and I also felt like helping out a new board because I'm a nice guy4u.

Would be willing to post spoopy story if I knew this board wasn't dead.
