New to BTC
So, I'm new to bit coins.
I know new fags aren't the most loved, but hell, I'm here to ask;
Where do I go from here?
I've heard of Prime Dice and Satoshi Dice from lurking a little, but I'm wondering what else you guys might have to say to someone new to bitcoins.

My favorite bitcoin faucet
http://freebitco.in/?r=1909385
I figured I'd recommend this site to you guys since it's a pretty great faucet imo, you can win up to $200 in bitcoin every hour just by clicking a button (and a short easy captcha but who cares about those), a weekly lottery that you get 2 tickets for free every time you roll (2 tickets every hour for a week is pretty significant) and an easy high/low game that has helped me win thousands of satoshi in a short amount of time.
I can even hook you guys up with an automation script for the hi/lo game as well, just hit F12 (or however you open the elements function in your browser) and just let this run http://pastebin.com/5vxmKiF3
Hopefully this is appreciated, pretty worth it imo.
Nodes
So, what kind of nodes are you guys running and why?
Personally, I am running Bitcoin Core 0.11 with Luke's spamfilter enabled, CLTV and RBF disabled.
First one reduces my bandwidth and CPU usage greatly, but it's mostly about not catering to poorfags. The others two seem stupid and silly to me.

Just found the best free bitcoin game ever

Humans have always been fascinated by their future.
They fear it, because they cant know it, and they feel fascinated by it for the same reason.
But, some of them are gifted with the power to actually see it.
For any ammount (not shite amounts like 1 satoshi) i will be telling his future to anyone willing to know it.
But beware, for i am not responsible of what can happen
Hey guys, I'm new to Bitcoin (feels sooo good to get away from fiat, amirite?) but I have some concerns about the scalability of the network - specifically, the 1MB blocksize limit.
VISA and MasterCard purportedly conduct many thousands of transactions per second. How is Bitcoin meant to achieve mainstream adoption if we're stuck at 7 TPS? We need to match or out do VISA and MasterCard.
I came across this blog post by Gavin Andresen (the guy works on Bitcoin from MIT, how cool is that?!) which makes a good argument for why it's time to increase the block size limit. I mean, the guy spoke to SATOSHI so I'm pretty sure we should just trust what he says.
What do you think?
Hello, clueless person about bitcoins here.
Just two questions-
1- Is there a tl;dr introduction to using Bitcoins?
2- Can you use Bitcoins without constant speculation around, for events say like Euro breakup or other Currency, or this shit just for subworld related stuff?
3- Can a respectable person use bitcoins?

Like wikipedia, facebook, amazon and everything else, 8chan needs money. To pay for servers, to pay for people to work on it, whatever. Nothing can exist without money.
Unlike everything else, 8chan used to have all sorts of payments methods that got "suspended". When is the last time amazon had its gratipay account suspended? What are the odds paypal sends a letter to facebook telling her offensive bullshit like "thanks for being part of your anal rape «process», we couldn't have done it without you" and so on?
Time to turn things around, and before you wonder or doubt - yes we can!
Every entity trading online depends on a credit card processor to stay in business. No exception. If the credit card processor (in the US there is only one, much like is the case with political parties) pulls, the entity suddenly has a problem. Worthy entities like 8chan obviously can survive, but I would like to see facebook go for all of five minutes without the ability to transfer funds.
How does the credit card processor pull? Simple - if there's over 1-2% chargebacks, they pull. Again, no exceptions.
Think of this as brigading on steroids: we get together, order, chargeback the next day or two (never chargeback on the spot!) and it's goodnight Gracie, especially if the reason given is something well thought out, like "These people are running some sort of online scam" or "I have never seen such crap in my life" etc. Not many places do a hundred thousand dollars a day, which means that if their average sale is ten bucks all that's needed is a coupla hundred of us to send them home.
Gratipay has "a policy" against X Y or Z because "it offends people"? Time to make that policy about not offending Bitcoin people. Who the shit cares about the muslims (other than the jews, I hear every JIP dreams about goatherder cock), femiwhales, women in places they don't belong and so on? Don't offend Bitcoin, that's the important thing to remember.
After an original idea by Mircea Popescu,
> If you stop and think for a moment you might figure out that if
> I actually wanted to cause trouble I could probably get a lot
> more per BTC in stolen credit cards than in actual payments, and
> so SA would be without a processor or the possibility of ever
> charging anything outside of Bitcoin in about three weeks tops
> (after it paid the associated fees, of course). That this point
> of extreme vulnerability is not immediately apparent to you is
> also kinda funny nm, I'm told someone did figure that one out. I
> don't happen to care either way about the fate of one of the
> countless interwebs forums, personally. Yes, I understand that
> for many of you people it's an important place, been there for
> years or w/e. That's fine. I honestly can't distinguish it from
> Redditetcetera. It's not equally important to me. Just a toy,
> okay ?
Sticky plox.
>Mining is all but impossible unless I pay real money for specialized machines that can't even pay for themselves
>The currency is only accepted by drug lords, cp traffickers, fucking nerds and early adopters (Jews)
>Can't even buy lunch with it
Why would I want to use this shitty fake money?

Can someone suggest a guide on how to get set up to process bitcoin transactions on your own web application, without using third party services and hooked into your own bitcoin node? I have run a full node and set up a trigger on an address, but this was really primitive and problem-laden. Would be nice to have something that lets you create addresses, etc. and can scale to a lot of them...
