What research says about cats: they're selfish, unfeeling, environmentally harmful creatures

no wonder so many women say they like cats so much

> they're selfish, unfeeling, environmentally harmful creatures
So they're basically fluffy humans? Neat.

 No.348

My cat freak out when I fainted once as a teenager. She basically attached herself to for a whole hour.

She could get pretty clingy as well when I was preparing for or just got home from a long trip.

She might have been selfish, but she did seem to care about me.

 No.356

Huh.
So then how come my cats always climb up on my bed and curl up beside me when I'm sick? Seems that they care about me.
They also do that when my mom's depression gets really bad. They just lay down next to her.
Or how about when I first left for college? My parents told me that my cats spent most of their time in my room meowing. Almost as if they were wondering where I had gone. Almost as if they had missed me.

maybe they don't want their warm and food source gone.

The same can be said about humans and it has been proven to be so by numerous scientific studies.

 No.533

These people have never owned a cat before.

>Selfish

When My cat hunts. She bring us the prey and want to share it.

>unfeeling

So when she constanttly follow me to pet ME, not the other way around that is just manipulation right???

>environmentally harmful creatures

>environmentally harmful creatures
This one is true though. I heard of a case where a single cat made a bird species became extinct; his owner was a lighthouse operator on some small island, and the bird was unable to fly and endemic to the island.

Well those were some shitty birds anyway then.

>gifts
>cat brings a dead rat
>calls for me
>drops it in front of me
>thank the cat and try to take the rat
>cat slaps my had, grabs the rat and starts eating it
Maybe she knew that I was gonna throw it away.

Ok, I take that back
Cats are still harmful to some wild life though
Cats are still cute as hell though

Cats are adorable killing machines.

That's why I love em.

Rats used to try to get into my house.

AHA NOT ANYMORE, YOU FILTHY DISEASE CARRYING BASTARDS

 No.575

There was this one time everyone home left the city, so the house was left alone with our cat. I managed to get a friend to come over and check on her 2 times per day.

It was the weekend, so my cat was alone for most of 3 days.

Once I came back from the airport, she bolted out of my room and started SCOLDING ME for leaving her alone. I can swear under oath that the tone of her meowing was that of someone who is really mad at you for leaving without warning but is still glad you came back and now you're here.

She's 13 years old and slept on my bed that night.

>selfish
Everything is inherently selfish, saying they manipulate you is personification, every animal strives to obtain food

>unfeeling

No other animal is as loving as not cats, and a lack of attachment doesn't stop people from owning fish/reptiles/invertebrates

>environmentally harmful

Only if you let them outside

>parasites

Uncommon in strictly indoor cats, every animal has the potential to carry pathogens

Shit argument, only major downside is easily solved by not being a retard and letting your cat freely roam outdoors.

>being such a beta you need an animal who will love you no matter what
>not earning the love of a cat and actually loving it back

Nah I have a small not cat and a cat and I love them both. I like the not cat more, but partly because i've had him much longer.
