Golden sun beams streaked across my room on a warm September autumn day. They Leaked through the window, past the dusty aura of my computer monitor, and shone upon my chubbily brilliant orange tiger friend, feefidofahfuhfwafuh (Fifi for short).He was resting in my arms as a baby would, pupils wide, and staring into my very soul as his purring loudly anticipated another piece of terriaki style beef jerky that I was feeding him. A moment I wish could of lasted longer.
Only weeks later I was promising myself on an equally gold day that today would be a fantastic day.
I eagerly strode out toward the bus stop, thinking about feefido greeting me home from school as I walked through the door, his curious eyes leaping with the rest of his body on top of the washer awkwardly set infront of the entrance, to meet my own smile.
Today would not end this way. I found his body stretched, and cold lifeless. At a glance his face only yielded the whites of his eyes, and the blood of his mouth running down his chin. Some careless person had run him over in the night.
I'll never forget you feefido. Rest in peace.
