Who /lawyer/ here? Anyone wanna play some Ace Attorney Online? Here's how it works: Everything (Judge/Defense/Prosecutor/Witness/Etc) is player controlled and cases don't have a set ending so it's not like in the games where you can't object to something because it's not what the game wants you to do. Other than that, everything else is like the court portions of the games. If we get enough people, we'll start off with a simple tutorial case and work our way up from there. Here are the roles we need:
1 Defense Attorney (1 optional partner)
1 Prosecutor (1 Option partner)
1 Judge (Me unless someone else wants to do it)
1 Detective
1 Witness
1 Defendant
(Detective/Witness/Defendant can be played by the same person if needed)
1 DJ to control the music (Judge can do that if needed)
If you want to play just post here with what role you want. Here's the tutorial case we'll be starting off with: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1K6ypAyubo0B9W2M6arnhYotFNUPvzeNIOL6yho8dFHI/edit?pli=1
If you have any question lemme know.

this seems awesome, not sure how we'd do this, but i'd be game for something sometime

Someone made a multiplayer version of ace attorney, it's exactly the same as the court portion only everyone controls a character. Once we get enough people i'lll post a download link. What role did you want to be?
No.12436

whatever role is open really, i won't be picky.
No.12445
>>12436
Everything's open so far, if you've played AA before the roles are pretty much the same.
Defense might be the easiest tho since it's pretty much doing what phoenix does and the others requre a certain degree of improvisation
No.12447
>>12445
i'd rather not be defense then, i can improvise decently well, that and thats a protag role and i don't think i'm protag material.
i'd say a witness or a prosecutor.
No.12451
>>12447
>thats a protag role
>defense
>implying edgeworth isn't the protag
If your witness you have to improvise when the defense objects to your tesdtimony. If your prosecutor you have to do everything in your power to stop the defense from changing the judges opinion and try to get the case closed as soon as possible. Which sounds better to you?

well edgeworth does have his games…
i think i'll do prosecutor if nobody esle would want it!

Hmm. I'll try filling the witness role, but if you need me for something else, I'll be happy to oblige.
I haven't actually played a Phoenix Wright game, but I did at least binge on Law & Order a few months ago.
Who is calling the witness to the stand? The defense or prosecutor? Will the witness discuss their testimony with the lawyer or is it entirely up to the witness to read about the crime?
No.12479
>>12478
well i can say in these games are a parody of the old japanese court system, where prosecutors had alot of power, so all witnesses are called by the prosecutors.
witnesses typically can discuss stuff outside of the court, but considering this takes place in the court chances are it'll only be while they are on the stand.
No.12480
>>12478
Oh god, Ace Attorney's legal system is probably going to trigger you. both sides can call witness although in this case it's mostly going to be the prosecutor. and yes, the prosecutor/witness can talk to each other about the testimony but the case already has premade testimonies so it should be good. if you have any other questions lemme know.

Indeed, if you guys want to play again sometime here are some possible cases:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1AOTRzNVrnVPK1w6M4OqCdJl0DWJL7n3syFO-wDFWkcA/edit?pli=1 - Turnabout Retribution. Created by Znedd. This case is pretty long and complicated, but can be quite a ton of fun if done right.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/19dZmOfbhOacqyuHvFJMxFRfcixC2BRWKIAGEgNOV_sw/edit - Turnabout Train Track. Created by our own Pivot. This case is pretty interesting. It is of medium length and medium difficulty. Takes a bit of thought, but is very cool.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XfaMp2ovH3g8rZMjUYCoBSIiz-LVmjg5Sy0fZac1c7E/edit
- Turnabout Twist. Also created by Pivot. It is a bit easier than Train Track, but not a total walk in the park. A good one for beginning- intermediate players.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xDS5Zh-5d4kLNNssGEU8n7N7MFNC8cn1wRliY4OcDFM/edit Witnesses's Tool Turnabout. Created by HANA. I haven't actually played this one, but from what I've seen it's not too complicated and is pretty interesting. Let us know how it goes!
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kZyz5A6CtWWjWc1lGKx4jNv4sCl7ea1yU7yo6yPggRw/edit?pli=1# - Mysterious Turnabout. Created by wispfire. Plenty of evidence, kind of long. Interesting stuff.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PQoaikZlL6xezbse6V0-pkG1j8BudJ7MJ1Bx9ofRvpM/edit - Turnabout Desperate, by lupadim. More improv-centered. Intermediate difficulty with a good amount of evidence.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lrITt3rL8N1UUH2TGNnDenr4ASFeSi-ntkjHOaxtbKA/edit?pli=1 - Turnabout Dinner Time. More open-ended. Bit on the intermediate side, in my opinion. Can be either short or drawnout.

Turnabout Triple, by Pivot! Long as hell, and from what it looks like, tons of fun! Check it out!
