Hey, what's some good software for making /chip/?

63d6e8 No.60

Modplug.

e13e60 No.62

Modplug or Milkytracker for Amiga/Commodore-like music
Famitracker for NES music, also support additional sound chips
LSDJ for Gameboy
VGMMaker for Genesis/Mega Drive
GXSCC if you want to be a faggot

Is there anything that would help better at making OPNA(PC98) music?
Currently I use FL studio with a bunch of PC98 sound samples. It works but I was wondering if there was something better.

renoise is probably the best way program to make retro music without actually using ancient software & hardware.

I don't know if it is okay to post Fakebit stuff here, so sorry if not. I finished this track today for a contest and I would like some feedback on it. I completely ignored the limitations of real hardware and just made something using chip sounds that is in the spirit of Chiptune. Let me know what you think.

I think it's okay to post fakebit, unless it's some of that lame GXSCC midi shit. Really like the groove of this choon btw!

Thank you. Sorry for the late reply, this board moves really slow and I forgot about this post.

Hello /chipmusic/
I enjoy composing chiptunes now and then, most of which I end up turning into songs for my band to play.
Here's a little ditty I made a while ago, tell me what you guys think.

You could try Linux Multimedia Studio, which is supposed to be a decent free alternative to FL Studio.

Use a tracker instead of a DAW.

f5c145 No.53

renoise is the best, its a tracker that'll pretty much let you do whatever Famitracker, FL Studio, and any of the older mod and xm trackers will let you do.
