First question:
What is God?
God is agape, truth, logos, life, the way, etc. Once you understand what God is, it is easier to understand how three can be one.
Christ is God
The father is God
The Holy Spirit is God
All are the truth, are all agape, truth, logos, the way, and life. But, there cannot be two definitions of truth, there cannot by two ways, or two definitions of life because, otherwise, it would be better to have two words for it.
Thus, there can be no contradiction between the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. Each is simultaneously God, our truth, our way, our life, and our logos.
When someone asks a Christian: "Is that the truth?" It's the same as asking "Would Christ believe that?" and "Does that comport with what I know of the Holy Spirit?" and, "would the Father approve?" all at once. Of course, none of us know Christ perfectly which is why we have friendly debates about it.
Does this help anyone? I've been dwelling on this a bit and this is how I've finally come to understand it.
