 No.6076

I am 22 years old autistfag with no job and few qualifications, but with little ability due to anxiety.

I've tried many things, like having a proper sleeping pattern, helping the homeless, working at a Marie Curie shop, library, college studying…

None of it sticks, none of it lasts a long time.

Does God have a plan for me? Should I stop worrying about my future and trust in God that something will find me, that He'll give me a purpose? Or by saying that am I just shifting my own lack of commitment to God and being blind to myself?

>Does God have a plan for me?

Yes, God does have a plan for you.

God's plan for all of us is for our bodies to be healthy. This means you need to exert your body every day and you need sunlight and probably vitamin supplements. Build up your core and become stronger and more flexible. You will instantly feel less anxious.

You also need healthy food and you need to avoid the foods that God has commanded us not to eat. Eating and sleeping patterns will mostly correct on their own as you do this, just make sure you fall asleep and wake up at the same time for like a month straight.

>little ability due to anxiety.

This will be corrected once you are more physically and spiritually fit. Just remember that you need to be physically well before you can be emotionally and spiritually well.

When I was your age I was a drug addict (with a ton of anxiety) but now I've got a sweet job, an incredible church, I am healthy and it truly is amazing. So I know you can get better also.

So anon, please just put your faith in the Holy Spirit and let Him guide you as you build up His temple, your body. You will get better.

And if thou shouldst be cast into the pit, or into the hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou be cast into the deep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee; if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good. D&C 122:7

and on a secular note, get some anxiety meds

There is no divine plan or purpose.

>Does God have a plan for me?

Indeed.

> Should I stop worrying about my future and trust in God that something will find me, that He'll give me a purpose?

There is a divine plan and you should do your best to make yourself able to accomplish it.

In no way it is valid to get rid of all responsibility for yourself and say God will take care of it.

He will, but this also demands your cooperation.

>with no job

There's no excuse for that. Get a job. Now.

>and few qualifications

Doesn't matter. Get a job. Waiter or shift worker or something.

>None of it sticks, none of it lasts a long time.

Why? Explain a little bit.

 No.6086

>God's plan for all of us is for our bodies to be healthy.

Jesus and the martyrs.

>you need to avoid the foods that God has commanded us not to eat.

Not what enters our body taints it, but what comes from our heart.

>Just remember that you need to be physically well before you can be emotionally and spiritually well.

So cripples can't be emotianally or spiritually well?

Physical fitness is good advice anyway, still. Health too.

>>6082

>There is no divine plan or purpose.

So?

Im not a kosher eating person, but imo eating healthy food is aking care of our body(our temple), so its good to do so.

 No.6098

>>6086

>Jesus and the martyrs.

Are you implying they were sickly or something? I'm sure Christ ate healthy and took care of His body the best He could and would expect us to do the same.

>Not what enters our body taints it, but what comes from our heart.

So drinking gasoline would not taint your body? Obviously not to be taken so literally.

>So cripples can't be emotianally or spiritually well?

No, you cannot be spiritually well if your temple is in disrepair.

>Im not a kosher eating person, but imo eating healthy food is aking care of our body(our temple), so its good to do so.

Yes.

>>6098

>Are you implying they were sickly or something? I'm sure Christ ate healthy and took care of His body the best He could

No, he did not take care of his body but sacrificed it in order to save us. He probably ate healthy as he could, not like he had a choice

So there are things that are more important than our body, which does not mean that we should not take care of it.

>So drinking gasoline would not taint your body? Obviously not to be taken so literally.

Drinking gasoline deliberately would be suicide which is sin.

If it happened par accident it would bear no spiritual quality at all.

>No, you cannot be spiritually well if your temple is in disrepair.

Is this just your opinion or Mormon idea general?

So if I'm born sick I'm screwed because God hates me by default? And if I become a cripple in the course of my life? Like because of a work accident?

 No.6111

>>6099

>So there are things that are more important than our body

The person asked how to help cure anxiety. Helping make his body healthy is the first step, not GET A JOB. Healthy, then job otherwise he'll still be anxious and probably quit the job.

>If it happened par accident it would bear no spiritual quality at all.

Are you nuts? It would make you sick as fuck. You can't exactly be a good vessel of the Holy Spirit if you are lying down vomiting uncontrollably.

>Is this just your opinion or Mormon idea general?

It's certainly true either way; you have to be healthy to have a proper temple for the Holy Spirit. An able bodied man has much more potential for righteousness than a sickly one. God designed us this way. What if Christ let himself get obese and then couldn't even walk His own ministry? Christ healed the cripples; He didn't teach them to be spiritual regardless of being crippled.

>So if I'm born sick I'm screwed because God hates me by default?

Some are called to be prophets and some aren't. If you were born sick, even attempting to make yourself well in order to improve your spirituality would grant you blessings because God would recognize it. God would bless you regardless if you simply follow the gospel of Christ and the Prophets.

But someone with down's syndrome for example would have a difficult time praying, performing rituals, singing, comprehending the gospel and scripture, etc. You have to admit that it would be difficult for some people to have a very good spiritual life because of a serious birth defect.

He should do both. Healthy while being NEET seems like a paradoxon to me anyway, without a purpose you are not really healthy anyway.

>It's certainly true either way; you have to be healthy to have a proper temple for the Holy Spirit.

Aha. Why?

> God designed us this way. What if Christ let himself get obese and then couldn't even walk His own ministry?

Gluttony is a sin. Being born with a disease making you fat is not.

>Some are called to be prophets and some aren't.

Yes, I'm sure all the cripples rejoice right now.

>But someone with down's syndrome for example would have a difficult time praying, performing rituals, singing, comprehending the gospel and scripture, etc. You have to admit that it would be difficult for some people to have a very good spiritual life because of a serious birth defect.

Yes, which does not mean that God loves them less or that we should treat them as 2nd class Christians. When God looks at us he also just sees a bunch of imperfect and evil creatures, the difference being way bigger than between us and a cripple. Yet he does seem to care for us a lot and to take us and our feelings and thoughts seriously. I'd recommend doing the same.

God will love me still if I dont have a purpose or dont do it? If yes, then why do it at all?

 No.6124

>>6120

God will love you still even if you do not give your life a purpose.

But this is decadent and will destroy you in the end. You hurt yourself, you kill your personality.

Imagine you had a son being NEET. Would you still love him?

Yes, you would.

Would you want him to change and do something with his life, like it was intended?

Yes.

Sloth acedia is a deadly sin. This includes being a coward, failing to do what you have to do when it is necessary.

It is a sin because it kills your soul slowly, and this one also does great harm to any community it can gain foothold in.

So there are good reasons to not do it. While I cannot imagine a single one to do it.
