I never understood howw one can be a real satanist. It just does not make sense.

Why worship satan, he hates you?

And if he bribes you into worshipping him, he will backstabb you eventually.

tl;dr, all of satanism tells a sort of "alt narrative" where satan is either not real, or a good guy.

Indeed.

I always found it intriguing how pagan religions are similar in this: In most of them there is some kind of trickster God. He does not obey the rules but is the good guy (Prometheus) or at least not evil (Loki)

Satan is never given a chance to make his case. All you have is the bible which can be considered propaganda. In that sense, Satanists are for innocent until proven guilty, the right to a fair trial, and the underdog.

One form of Satanism Ive heard is about glorifying yourself and finding power for yourself, and that Satan was who faught for that individual right of freedom for power
