Ha, the zeal of the early convert. I miss that.
We've technically 15 mil, buts that's just people who are registered, not necessarily people that are *real* Mormons. My estimate of actual Mormonism is 7 mil and decreasing.
I have a calling that deals with viewing the records of people who are in the ward. I was surprised to see over 50 people in the list, despite the fact that on a good day I've only see about 25 or maximum 30 people in the ward. That'd give you a more accurate idea of what's happening here.
For my interest and your peace of mind, I wish that such figures were available regarding the catholic membership, separating the cultural from the doctrinal catholic, and from the thinly-veiled atheist. I don't think such documents exist though.
