Its literally useless.

They can look literally like Jesus, and it would be still useless. I really dout God even care if someone leaves their beard on.

Islam is a lot more orthographically than Christianity, and does focus a lot on external appearances and how a person does things. They also have an adoration for their Prophet and how he did everything that would be very alien to Christian thought. You want to eat what Muhammad ate, and look like he looked and speak like him because he was an ideal man.

Jesus on the other hand never taught such things and, if anything, actively discouraged this idea of a "good person" having to look a certain way. The emphasis is on kind deeds (not that Muslims don't emphasis those as well) and belief, not on emulating Jesus appearance. The fact that he's very much outside of what you can ever achieve probably plays into that, as you *can* technically be like Muhammad on many regards, but you can never be a God like Jesus is believed to be.
