Saw a church today with halloween scarecrows out front. It doesn't fit when they try to appropriate darkness in a tame way, and then have Halloween parties.

I'm dressing as an aviator for the kids, but I had the idea of being a Christian for Halloween, and preaching and evangelizing at every house I visit. Or collecting a year's worth of Jehova witness brochures and handing them out to trick or treaters with a stern warning to be vigiliant because tonight could be your last on Earth. That might be the scariest role playing the kids see.

Are any Christians dressing as a Satanic Atheist or Christchan today?

Lol fedora, that's exactly what's so impressive about Christianity whether you believe the mythos or not. When it doesn't completely erase enemies from history to the point where they become a footnote, it can neuter rival festivities and traditions and turn them into a freaking keychain for itself, like with Christmas and this very holiday.

I don't think you could effectively make anything Christian (or a Jehova's Witness for that matter) into a good Halloween costume, not unless you're going to a social event exclusively for edgy fedora Philosophy/Women's studies majors. It sounds lame, forced and silly. You'd be better off dressing as your normal self and pulling the old "I'm a serial killer" if people ask.

I agree.

But they are doing the same thing the church did years ago when they assimilated virtually all of today's holidays.

I think people that are afraid pf evangelists are the ones who should thank God the most, they have it so easy.

I dont dress up on halloween.
