I asked this in /Christian/ and as you would expect I got no serious replies.

So I came here, since I'm under the impression that /Christ/ is able to take things seriously.

I'm curious as to why orthodox monks, Catholic bishops, cardinals and Coptic Christians wear hats? They wear them praying, despite Paul saying that it dishonours a persons head and therefore God, since Christ is the head of every man.

Anybody know why?

Orthodox Christianity doesn't have monks, that's some Eastern or Vatican thing.
