How was mass today /christ/ ?

 No.884

Isn't it always the same? I haven't been to a mass in over a year but apart from the sermon, what changes?

 No.886

>>884

There is a set of Rituals that are always the same but the sermon differs + there are the different celebrations.

For example today is Good Shepherd Sunday so it was focused on Jesus leading the flock and prayers for the pope, the priests and the deacons.

Also it heavily differs for most protestants each sunday as far as I'm aware

>I haven't been to a mass in over a yea

Can't spare half an hour on a sunday?

Yup there is the calender and right now we are in easter season. Also I went to Mass yesterday on Saturday because I am edgy (it works out better for me).

That's not why I don't go to mass, brother. It'd be awkward staying in the pews or doing that thing where you cross your arms over your chest and let everyone know you're a piece of shit to be shunned.

Every mass I've ever been to has been an ordeal to me, torn between taking the Eucharist without the proper procedures and simply not taking it.

I live in protestant country though, even the Catholic churches here look bare and boring, not that this is why I don't go.

I know I'd just feel bad and awkward. Besides, I'm somewhat of an agoraphobic. Anything social is an obstacle to me. I do a good job of appearing normal, but everything is a bigger effort.

 No.897

How about this, next Sunday, I do a minimass on my own. Call me a Protestant shit stain but it's better than not doing anything at all, right?

I really enjoyed it.

 No.909

I'm becoming delirious: I could swear I saw the OP image move in the catalog, like something was shining and the altar boys were moving.

The fuck's going on?

>yesterday at mass

What good is it, my brothers and sisters,

if someone says he has faith but does not have works?

Can that faith save him?

If a brother or sister has nothing to wear

and has no food for the day,

and one of you says to them,

“Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well, ”

but you do not give them the necessities of the body,

what good is it?

So also faith of itself,

if it does not have works, is dead.

Indeed someone might say,

“You have faith and I have works.”

Demonstrate your faith to me without works,

and I will demonstrate my faith to you from my works.
