The problem is, most churches do not teach scripture by which one would learn these things.

Usually anti-zionism is more of a social issue for U.S. and European churches, having to do with the treatment of the Palestinian nationals rather than the type of doctrinal and scriptural arguments that are frequent in the boards.

I think it goes even deeper than people not wanting to be anti-semitic or whatever. Firstly, a lot of people just don't interpret the scriptures to mean anything negative about Jews or the secular state of Israel at all. Then, a lot of people in the evangelical movement think that Israel is actually the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy and that its a Christian's duty to protect and support it until God chooses to end the world, which requires Israel to belong to the Jews for that to even be a possibility (according to them).

Jesus built a church, not a Bible. Haven't you heard? Maybe Francis is right.

Maybe the Jews are right and God basically just cares more about them, and everyone else gets a soft handshake while they get the endless rules and regulations. Who knows? Its all a matter of belief and perspective.
