you know full well you're not at all surprised . . .

 No.9603

The graph shows belief in an afterlife has recently remained flat though.

And actually declining a little, but not as fast as the a-religious are rising

It means that the 79% who believe they're going to heaven MUST be the same 79%, to a man-woman-dog, who claim to be religious including the 5% that never attend a service

And yet, that would fit.

The article's conclusion isn't quite as dichotomous as they want us to believe

 No.9608

Meh, it just means the people who are religious are defining their religiosity differently from previous generations, which is not that rare a thing. The phrasing in the graph is odd since the article says people believe in an afterlife, not necessarily Heaven which implies a more valued answer.

The smart ass tone of the article is really annoying though. Like he's got it all figure out and fuck these kids and their newfangled ways of wearing their trousers.

Maybe your religion its losing people.

Adventism is growing exponentially.

The graph only shows that narcissists are just increasing

I'd be skeptical if I was you. Baptisms are one thing, active membership is quite another. Difficult to measure, I wouldn't trust numbers unless compiled by impartial secular ac academics, and even then I might wonder. Characterizing these people as narcissists is unfair, that's way too strong a word for the attitude that is basically the norm nowadays. Its not self-obsession, just reasonable skepticism of anyone with grand claims and little material proof, in the post-internet age.
