There are alot of false ideas about the antichrist.

He's not going to be some politician in a tuxedo, or an edgy dark lord of doom.

The Antichrist is going to come as a world leader.

He will claim to be Jesus aswell, it's going to be an ecumenical deception. He will come out during the darkest periods of mankind's history.

He will promise peace, security and a new age of light. He will perform false miracles that would deceive the very elect, if possible.

He will be the man of lawlessness, Satan's son and representative.

The world will be under control of the Luciferian occult than ever before.

He will promise immortality through transhumanism (mixing iron and clay).

He will promise enlightenment (without Christ) and that we can become gods ourselves.

The Mark of the Beast is not going to be a simple RFID chip. It's going to alter your DNA or make you 'immortal'. It's going to completely change your personality.

Anyone who takes the mark becomes a complete mind-controlled slave for the devil.

He's going to be a very charismatic and appealing man. Just think about the fact that the vast majority of the world will worship him.

Satan has had over 5000 years of experience with man, he knows all our weaknesses and emotions.

Christians will be portrayed as extremists, terrorists, remnants of the "old world".

The Antichrist will make genocide seem like a good thing, afterall those pesky Jesus freaks and Bible thumpers need to be removed in order for the world to progress into a glorious new age.

The Great Tribulation will be worse than the Roman persecution of Christians (either Pagan Rome or Papal Rome), let that sink in.

Sauce me boyo. I wouldn't be surprised if he was one of these people you describe, but it's not impossible for him to be a politician or a dark lord. Obviously, he has to be appealing enough to make the world follow him, but he could still be rather dark.

Point is, I don't think we should be too specific about who or what the Antichrist will be, lest he sneak up on us when he doesn't fit our pattern.

I have an idea that maybe, maybe the antichrist would be a particularly big antipope that's gonna broke off from, conquer and 'claim' the See of Rome (or Constatinopolis) ?
