Let me give explain it.
God married israel at mt. Sinai. The covenant is a marriage covenat.
About 500 years lator israel split into 2 kingdoms, the northern kongdom of Israel and the southern kingdom of Juda.
God says in his prophets that he divorced the sister Israel for her whoredom, that's why he threw them out of the land.
But the prophecy also show that in the "future" the sister juda will be even more wicked than her sister israel, yet he does not divorce her.
The prophecy also shows that he shall return israel and marry her again because israel will repent of her sins, just as juda will repent of their sins.
The 2 sisters shall be unified under the messiah back into the one original israel.
Christians are not the repalcement of Israel or juda, we are grafted into the original root of Israel. All the prophecys talk about how God shall restore isreal and make it head of all nations, how he shall make many covenants with it and bless it. These promises and prophecys still stand. If we want to be part of this we need to be grafted into Israel.
All the promises are TO israel, israel is gods anointed, israel is Gods beloved, israel is Gods chosen and we can be grafted into israel, into its ritghousness.
But the "Jews" will be punished serverly, God will punish all of them that whore after other Gods and do wicked things, israel will come to the brink of destruction, lose most of its population, but God will save for himself a rest of the people.
