Why do liberals get upset at things like this when this is the inevitable result of everything they've been working for?

I really just don't understand. When you believe in God, you have an absolute truth. You have something to measure all things against. But in this humanist utopia that western youth are promoting, how can anyone stand up and say that something is wrong or "too far"? What grounds do they have?

Even when someone like Peter Singer says we should be allowed to kill severely retarded children, how do people in favor of abortion argue against that?

If you're going to tell women that it's "my body, my choice" then how are you going to stop men from making their own choice about shirking responsibility?

That's the only justification they can fall back upon, even as they try to portray a veneer of civilization and enlightenment.

so? people pick their religions, so in the end they still "pick their morality" in a way…

unless you believe in hardcore determinism, but that would be even worse

Pretty much. It's why MGTOW is a thing. If women are allowed to abort their children for practically any reason, there's no good way of justifying a man's obligation to his own child.

Allow abortion up to the last second? Being consistent in this issue requires that the father be able to ditch at the last second.

How the fuck does the inane ramblings of some party's youth group become global news?

Also these are probably just young fedoras who idolize Ron Paul, and still haven't looked closely enough into their mother party to realise that it's not liberal at all and never has been.

They pick a foundation. When you "pick Christ" you get everything that goes along with Christ. You don't pick and choose moral issues. You inherit a system of morals.

Picking and choosing on individual issues is the problem. And it creates contradictions and slippery slopes.
