Alex here, I'm back. I'll make a SAFemail ASAP for those who'd like to contact me. 1-8-16

How was mass?

aa3d4d No.260409

it was okay, no communion because I was in a state of mortal sin, tho.

I tend to not like the sunday mass as much as weekday mass, they cheapen it and tell jokes and play rock music and all that, so I'm doing it out of obligation rather than want.

My first time in an ovus nordo mass. Was better than I expected.

For the first time in my entire life I really felt a true sense of community and happiness. When everyone was singing hymns of the Lord and praying together, truly a wonderful gift from God. Will be going next Sunday as well and maybe even go on Friday mass.

Note that my only experience with Latin mass was during my pilgrimage to Rome. I don't think it counts because it was a pilgrimage and not an ordinary Saturday.

Daylight Savings Time screwed things up for me. I'll go next week.

a24bcd No.260431

Only a missa lecta, but I still greatly appreciate the opportunity to go to Latin mass. In the homily the priest talked about God's presence in the temple and reminded everyone of God's presence in the church, and the importance of falling on your knees in worship as soon as you enter, instead of talking to your friends about frivolities.

Nice, same as always. We also did some charity stuff. Only problem for me are those speakers. They're not even needed and our church isn't a very big building.

I thankfully caught that right before bed. Though many years in the past, it has screwed me over.

Good, I just can't remember what the homily was about now.

Since I didn't post about last weeks trip. Last week was really good and the message struck a chord with me.

Electricity should be considered haram, both for sound and light, not to mention the abomination that is projectors. The greatest gift of electricity to the liturgy is when you don't use it, making the distinction between the divine and profane even more apparent.

The nave where I go is full of razor sharp spotlights, with nothing to diffuse the light. I envy the women who can use their chapel veils to keep the harsh rays out of their eyes.

Didn't go since there is no Catholic church in the town where I live. Moving somewhere else in a few months. I'm a recent convert, so I'm not even baptized.

Will I go to hell if I die before then?

Nah, but I'd try to eat Jesus ASAP if I were you.

Certainly not without being baptised and in a state of grace.

He was joking.

I was semi-joking.

He won't go to hell because baptism through grace, but I'd try to get myself baptised ASAP and taking Eucharist at least once.
