This is silly. All this machine does is parrot things people have already put into it. No matter how sophisticated, this is as far as Human-imitating AI has ever come.
As a computer science student, even back when I was atheist, I'm extremely sceptical of the possibility of a comprehensive computational model of the mind.
AI the way it's actually used in the real world is just applied statistics (which can in itself be pretty dangerous, some of these applications are quite invasive). But to call them intelligent at all would be a stretch. AI researchers serious about strong AI need to step away from the keyboard and over to the philosophical drawing board, and rethink some of the assumptions they've made.
