We've all heard these terms before. Eucharist. Communion. The Lord's Supper. Week after week, we partake in this most sacred of Christian rituals and traditions. But at the same time, it is a very divisive concept to talk about, especially in this day of constant sectarian squabbling and debate on scriptural matters.
Some sects believe that, in some way shape or form, the bread and wine becomes the very body and blood of Christ.
Others believe that while such doesn't really cause physical change, that the host becomes in some way sanctified.
Others flat-out deny any spiritual properties, and say that it is nothing more than a tradition. A tradition started by Jesus, but a tradition nonetheless.
What do you believe?
