What /christian/ opinion MEME Magic? Is it just a in joke on the internet people take seriously or did it morphed into a MEME worshipping modern day Cthulhu cult?

85ae56 No.261624

Idols come in many forms.

acfb3c No.261628

The Bible promotes the idea that what we focus our thoughts on will change the world around us, and that our faith can move mountains. We are also to pray without ceasing, i.e. constantly sending messages to the divine with our thoughts. We reap what we sow. Meme magic is not too far removed from that. Some people take it in unfortunate directions (Kek worship, Ebola-chan) but what do you expect on an image board?

77b1da No.261629

I have warned people on /pol/ about worshipping false idols. Some have responded positively, but others respond by mocking our Lord and by praising their dead egyptian gods.

Many are probably joking about it, but some might think that such a thing as meme magic exists.

Basically, if enough people talk/think about a certain thing, it becomes a phenomenon, and depending on how we use Neuro Linguistics, it reenforces the idea in our minds.

A popular example of this is Donald Trump. He uses language in such a way to embed the idea that he is indeed going to be president in the USA. Even some of his enemies have been caught saying "President Trump" because the idea has been reenforced by this.

Many of the prophets in the Bible were also great with this too. I believe that God gave them that gift so that they could be great prophets.

There actually is a whole scientific study about this and branch of Psychology, but I am reluctant to talk about it because in the last 20-30 years this branch of Psychology has been hijacked by the New Age Cult. It's a shame because it's a very interesting topic, but like I said, it's been hijacked.

The only reason I know about it is because last year I prayed hard to have my addiction cured, and one day when I hit rock bottom, I personally believe the Lord guided me to the tools I needed to rid myself of my now non-existent addiction. I thank God that he has given me the tools that I needed to better myself.

Even King David had household gods. just don't literally worship them which nobody does because it's a fucking joke

c8534a No.261786

Our policy, for the moment, is to conceal ourselves. Of course this has not always been so. We are really faced with a cruel dilemma. When the humans disbelieve in our existence we lose all he pleasing results of direct terrorism and we make no magicians. On the other hand, when they believe in us, we cannot make them materialists and skeptics. At least, not yet. I have great hopes that we shall learn in due time how to emotionalize and mythologize their science to such an extent that what is, in effect, belief in us, (though not under that name) will creep in while the human mind remains closed to belief in the Enemy. The "Life Force", the worship of sex, and some aspects of Psychoanalysis, may here prove useful. If once we can produce our perfect work—the Materialist Magician, the man, not using, but veritably worshiping, what he vaguely calls "Forces" while denying the existence of "spirits"—then the end of the war will be in sight. But in the meantime we must obey our orders.

I think it is a joke. When it comes to idolatry as a threat to us I am more worried about the Santa Muerte tards.

Religion is a meme in the psychological sense.

Countries used convert in one of three ways.

1. All the higher ups converted so I better convert if I want a good government job. (Putin, St. Constantine)

2. King converted so now I have to. ( Ethiopia, Hungary)

3. The Christians have money, I better convert if I want to do business with them (Medieval Scandinavia, Modern China)

There is an exception.

The precursor to method 1 is usually Rice Christians. They seem to be one of our few modern avenues for evangalism in free countries. We feed the poor, they join for food, before long we are the majority. (Korea, Vietnam) After that we become the majority and hive mind kicks in and people join us because we just laugh at the non-Christians as ridiculous pagan superstitions or neckbearded fedora virgins.

We are a meme.
