upset that the faith is resorting to this so to appeal to the new generations. All it does is alienate older christians, but when you have shit like this too i'm not surprised we have so many dead eyed mouth breathers today even if it is just a gimmick

Depends on the target audience. I'm highly opposed to this blatant consumerism, but it already exists and may have a function. I still have a "My First Bible" sort of thing laying around somewhere. It's a bit sad that this might play the same role, imo, but I don't know enough about it to really make a judgment.

I'm Catholic and I dig the KJV, except for the missing books. I quite like the way its written.

Douay-Reims is best though.

Minecraft in general makes me cringe nowadays, but I'm not actually surprised at this product. used to have young Christians come in, build churches and play like they were holding Sunday school on the server.

In general I've been seeing so much Minecraft books and merchandise in stores that I wonder if they're all getting permission from Mojang at all?

Specifically with the content though, well it better be a stepping stone to a more mature faith since it's not a good ending point in itself.

It does actually. Or the unedited version does. Many modern KJVs omit them. But originally the apocrypha was printed in the KJV between the two real/inspired testaments, as supplemental material.

KJV has an apocrypha but most don't include it since it was never regarded as true scripture. Still a great translation to read them.
