One day a man was here He had the most beautiful look that ever existed He had to sing a prayer. And not to mention the most beautiful song ever heard. His voice spoke only of love Every gesture of his was of love And peace, He carried in the heart. He walked through the fields He went up the mountains and spoke of the greater love. Made the light shine in the darkness The sun rises in every heart that understood That beyond the life that is There is another life beyond and so … The rebirth, dying is not the end. Everything that He left He did not pass and there will always be Flowers in the places that he stepped on And the right way to go I know He will one day come back And in the same fields look for what he has planted. And reap what was born good Cry for the seed that died without blooming. But there is still time to plant Do within yourself the flower of good grow To deliver Him When He arrives here Everything that He left He did not pass and will always exist Flowers in the places that He stepped on And the right path to follow Everything here He left No passed and there will always be Flowers in the places you stepped on And the right way to go

There's a song on here that my brother loves to death as well. Don't know what it was but I never got into it cause the game gave me a headache on the level of nonsense it spewed.

It's lousy attempt at originality by lazily flipping many concepts in Bioshock 1 lead to shoe-horning religious zealotry by baptism as the major split in dimensions, despite characters involved were from dimensions that diverged as far back as Lutece's conception as they were born as a different sex in each one. Then they killed Booker to erase the root of these timelines despite Booker already experienced the events. Even if they did, what the fuck happened with Grandfather paradox.

I couldn't help but laugh at how pathetically they try to recon Elizabeth into the Rapture game. Who was even asking the mystery behind the Big Daddy's imprint? No one would've even been able to have guess it was this character who never existed then and only put in the plot to give her any relevance in the franchise.

The first game was about a atomospherically eerie dystopia and a pseudo philosophical look at the "No Gods, No Kings, bible banned as Contraband" Bad guy behind it. Infinite could have been just as neat but fucked it up.

64457d No.539721

>>539706

Yea the re-writing really killed the story. If you go look at some of the development preview stuff you can see it really fell apart somewhere along the line.

They even tried to change the story with the DLC. Originally the plot was that evil exists on both sides in the main game, but BAS changed it so the leader of the Vox did evil cause she was pressured to by the Lutece twins instead of being the bloodthirsty commie she was. Horseshit. The studio fell apart after the second DLC was published.

Tbh, I bought into the hype and got it at launch. The aesthetics and music were great at least. I do recommend the soundtrack for the covers. That hymn is one of my favorites and the recording they used is quite good.

Be A Rock Of Refuge For Me,

Where I May Ever Find Safety At Your Call

For You Are My Towering Crag And Stronghold

Let All My Traducers Be Shamed And Dishonoured

Let All Who Seek My Hurt Be Covered With Scorn

But I Will Wait In Continual Hope

I Will Praise You Again And Again

>who

It's not a christian band, but it was more horror comedy (without any mentions to satan) that i used to listen to when i was younger.

>did you end up enjoying gwar's set more than theirs?

No, i never liked the band, i left early.

>what the heck? is this real?

Here is a quote of the source from the video, it also has other interesting things about music.

http://www.av1611.org/neutral.html

>Drs. Earl W. Flosdorf and Leslie A. Chambers found in a series of experiments that shrill sounds projected into a liquid media coagulated proteins. A recent teenage fad was that of taking soft eggs to rock concerts and placing them at the foot of the stage. Midway through the concert the eggs could be eaten hard-boiled as a result of the music. Amazingly few rock fans wondered what that same music might do to their bodies. (Larson, Bob The Day Music Died, p.116)

This person says yes, but could not replicate it.

http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/2936/can-rock-music-cook-eggs/

>Noise causing deafness isn’t too conceptually tough to swallow. But could one really blast enough acoustic energy at an egg to cook it during a three-hour concert? In theory, yes. The proteins in egg white are long chains of amino acids rolled up into tight balls, which allows them to move around and thus causes the egg white to be more or less fluid. Exposure to heat denatures the proteins — they unwind from their tight balls and stick to each other, forming a coagulated mass. In short, the eggs cook.

>But heat isn’t the only way to accomplish this. You can do the same thing with a change in salt content or even air bubbles. And in 1936 Chambers and Flosdorf found you could also do it with sound. They pumped 175 watts of acoustic energy into egg white — roughly 140 dB, about 14 dB more than the Who generated in 1976 to earn the distinction of loudest band in the world according to Guinness. The egg white was denatured in just four minutes, probably due to pressure waves from cavitation, the formation of tiny vacuum bubbles that collapse violently and unwind the proteins.

>All afternoon Una blasted everything from Lynyrd Skynyrd to Mötley Crüe to the Crystal Method. The sustained vibrations caused an avalanche of shoeboxes in a closet. Periodically, wearing target-shooting earmuffs for protection, she checked the eggs’ temperature; the target eggs wound up eight degrees Fahrenheit warmer than the control group. (A possibly confounding factor is that at one point the experiment was illuminated by a lone cigarette lighter.) During the Crystal Method set the decibel meter was pegged almost continuously to the 126-dB mark, but Una reduced the volume to 120 dB after a burning smell began emanating from one speaker. My point is, she directed some serious sonic force at these pups.

>After five hours of this, all the eggs were cracked open and examined. There was no perceptible difference between any of the batches.

Check out http://web.archive.org/web/*/lenonhonorfilms.com/* and in the serch type in wmv and download "http://lenonhonorfilms.com/media/The_Workings_of_Evil_Part_1.wmv" watch all three parts. make sure it's not "http://lenonhonorfilms.com/media/WorkofEvilRev1of6.wmv" because that's the revisited.

I'd also recommend "http://lenonhonorfilms.com/media/HipHopHiddenHand1A.wmv" but that one is sometimes difficult to download, but eventually it works. As well as "http://lenonhonorfilms.com/media/What_Lies_In_Plain_Sight.wmv"

Another Good documentary on this is one called "Music that wants your soul" but it's tough to find the link to it. I'm currently uploading it and i' have the link later. It's absolutely amazing what you find in media with a little critical analysis and patients, it's kind of scared me from media for the most part.

I bet you're a really cool centre-conservative. You're a based Conservative unlike those libtards and alt-fags.

No, I'm a monarchist. I cannot respect someone who disobeyed his King (King Carol II) and was found guilty of High Treason. And even more abhorrent was the fact that his followers carried out terrorist acts (despite bearing the name of Saint Michael in their paramilitary group, quite scandalously really) including bombings and assassinations.

458392 No.575747

>>575742

Ok, first let me address your first point. I'm also a monarchist, and so was Codreanu, he was never directly opposed to the king (who, by the way, was illegitimate but had staged a coup against the real king, his brother). The king was influenced by Jewish elements in Romania to crack down on the Iron Guard, he placed the interests of jewish and Romanian bankers over his own people.

Second, the assassinations were all carried out in response to police officers extrajudicially killing members of the Iron Guard. They were killing those who were killing their closest friends. Also, there is no evidence that Codreanu organized any of the assassinations, even if he did know about all or most of them.

If your idea of being a good Christian is blind allegiance to false monarchs who are killing your friends and family, then so be it, but I'm not some fashlarper for admiring Codreanu.

I have a couple recommendations.

An album by Lift to Experience called The Texas-Jerusalem crossroads. A story concept album about everybody converging to the promised land which has appeared in Texas of all places. A very good but also very strange album. It's the apocalypse with a Bible Belt flavor. Don't be dissuaded by the terrible coverart.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iF96B27HYik

I'm also surprised nobody has posted Sufjan Stevens yet. He's definitely not as obscure as some of the stuff I've seen in this thread. Seven Swans is his most religious record.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Mr_VkAXWZA&list=PLZqsyBiYZFQ3ErFCewScrmeG9xfsPI8ga

His most popular album Illinois is less overtly religious, but still very good.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=426jqFZa99Y&t=316s

And finally, something a little different. Kendrick Lamar is obviously a very famous rapper. His album Good Kid, m.A.A.d City, is about him growing up in the gang infested town of Compton, and how he freed himself from it through his faith in Christ.

Loads of stuff over the recent months, who I can't remember specifically but I listen to alot of country and bluegrass (less so 'folk' side of things which I get the feeling Van Zandt may be more commonly classed as from the songs of his I've come across?) so would probably be acts like Front Porch String Band, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band (not an actual band as far as I can tell not sure..) Ralph Stanley/Stanley Bros/Clinch Mountain Boys, Ricky Skaggs/Earl Scruggs/Lester Flatt/Skaggs and Rice (see here >>559010 for a cover some kids did of their rendition of an old traditional Skaggs and Rice did) etc., Doc Watson, Rebel Records artists etc (see e.g. here >>487036 ), Carter family (see here >>553935 ) and probably good ol' Emmylou too (Harris).

The only one I can say for definite where he comes up (because I've been listening to it a lot over the past couple weeks so remember van Zandt on the autoplay) is Bob Dylan's Slow Train Coming album as well as Gillian Welch (see vid above). Gram Parsons, Guy Clark and John Prine are other artists who come up in the same autoplay with nice tunes who are tagged as 'related artists' of van Zandt so if you listen to them I'm sure he'll come up then too (I haven't listened to any of them properly yet). Gordon Lightfoot would probably be another one too (he's more a folk-sided artist I think, see here >>478447 ) but again not listened to him properly personally.
