I was raised as a Protestant, but lately I started to read the Church Father's and I'm starting to think that Catholicism is the true Church, especially due to the continuation of the papacy (also apostolic succession) and the preservation of doctrines

I looked into Eastern Orthodoxy briefly, but they lack the pope and their various churches seem to be all over the place, where some are in communion while others are in schism with each other…

I'm not interested in other branches of Protestantism.

What else should I read or do to learn about Catholicism? How do I convert?

Thanks.

Nice falseflag

I'm almost convinced all these "how do I convert to Catholicism" threads are false flags. We've had so many absolutely everyone here should know exactly how.

Perhaps there should be a cyclical thread for faith and denominational converts. There's way too many of these crappy threads seemingly to divide us.

1. Go to the local parish during the priest's office hours or after mass

2. It depends on how much are you willing to read, I think this is very helpful, it's divided into various topics and easy to navigate

What the point of doing false flag about that kind of thing ? Are we not on a christian board centered around fellowship ?

>After reading the original baptists I decided to not be a baptist

Yeah sure, Church father were baptists, they believed in OSAS and sola fide, they loved the KJV too !

Are you talking about the schism between Antioch and Jerusalem?

Look for a Catholic Church near you and talk with the priest.

If you were baptised in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit then your baptism is valid which is already an head start since if valid you inly need to confess the sin of schism and heresy (because you were a Baptist before)

To read well read the Bible (an approved Catholic one, talk with the priest hell help you, not the KJV since it's a bit adulterated for the English to sound better and lacks 7 books)

I also recommend Saint Augustine and Saint Thomas Aquinas.

Best of luck for you in this jew journey of your life.

>read the catechism

Catechisms aren't the faith. They might have mistakes. For exemple the latest one on ecumenism and shit.

Even pope Francis (like every pope in history + Jesus Christ himself) reaffirmed there's no salvation outside the Church.

Ps: doesn't harm to read. The rest is correct as far as I know. And it's a nice quick rundown on the faith.

Jesuits are cancerous.

I'm not joking around, Saint Ignatius must be ashamed.

And where exactly is it wrong?

You should be absolutely sure that you are right here, spreading disrespect and distrust towards those who have actual authority to teach and explain the faith is gravely scandalous unless you have a legitimate excuse.

Actually they translated the apocrypha

I don't know if OP is false flagging or not but I am also a baptist but I have not made the move to convert to Catholicism.

I hoped that this board would help me in finding my answer to this question. I found some frustration but I think I am close to making the final decision.

I ask anyone that reads this to pray that I remove any personal bias from myself and that I may find the church where I may best serve God.

Thank you all and God bless!

I will pray. Guilt confronts me every time I try and commit to a denomination. Real guilt that I haven't picked the right one.

By briefly, did you mean less than five minutes?

Oh look. Another thread made by a Catholic recruiter. Surprise, surprise. The mods are all catholic after all. Probably Jesuit.

Funny, I had the opposite response.

Of course, I assume that the apostles' beliefs were the standard (and not bs presumptions like arguments from silence) .
