What is the plane scene in TDKR is a metaphor for the life and death of Kurt Cobain. First off, Kurt Cobain. Kurt COBAIN. Kurt coBANE!?
CIA represents the light side of Kurt Cobain.
Bane, Al-hyrid Gunn, and Wreckage Brother represent the dark side of Kurt Cobain
Masketta man represents the money and fame Kurt had. Keep in mind masketta man betrayed CIA (his light side)
Dr Pavel represents the people Kurt went to for help. Bane (kurt's dark side) felt as if they (dr pavel) betrayed him, in favor of CIA (kurt's good side)
CIA's men represent Kurt's friends and bandmates. Their death at the hands of bane represents the blowback his death had on the people around him.
When CIA asks bane about pulling the mask off, Kurt wants to know if exposing his bad side would finally destroy it. However, Kurt knows this would be extremely painful… for him. When CIA remarks that Bane is a big guy, Kurt notices that his bad side is bigger and stronger than his good side.
Finally, when Bane tells Wreckage Brother to stay on the plane, that represents how, through Kurt's death, some of his dark side stayed with us. It also represents the single shotgun shell that went through cobain's head.
There's some other parallels too, such as shooting a man before throwing him out of a plane (kurt shooting himself before his fame crumbles), etc.
