Formation of the Chancer Diplomatic Service
While I hate to admit I am wrong, sometimes I have to bend to reality. My posting on the subreddit is harmful, toxic, and drives away neutral parties. I still think that Oldfriend and some of the other people in the peanut gallery are wrong about my ability to lead domestic affairs and manage closed-door diplomacy, it is clear that my posting style and aggressiveness on the subreddit is more harm than good and needs to stop.
Reiko, Oldfriend, Patchy, and immer, thank you for knocking a bit of sense into me. I owe you all an apology, Patchy especially because he actually has to deal with the consequences of my rude posts.
Therefore
I am forming the Chancer Diplomatic Service. Specifically, they will be appointed by me for the duration of Civtemp (or until a Chan Meeting gives further input on the matter) in order to deal with our foreign relations. Essentially a 'White House Spokesperson' list.
People who think they are capable of posting on reddit without being accurately compared to ChrisChrispie (like I was) should post in this thread or talk to me ingame about the matter. The idea of designating people to talk to the cockroaches has been vetted before, but I think it's time that we recognize (especially in light of last night's false flag) that we definitely need to settle the issue.

Free Market Implementation/Rail Industry
Might as well nip this in the bud.
99% of Minecraft cities succumb to it, but we'll need to approach the problem of lack of productivity sooner or later, so might as well do it now before the city stalls and simultaneously get acquainted with the idea of a free market for 3.0
Right now everything for the most part is free. Free land, free resources, free gear, etc. Especially with the lack of enchantments, it's currently easy to max out and if there isn't any diplomacy or foreign faction interaction people will inevitably get bored and stop playing. Since we've established ourselves and the city has matured a bit, my recommendation is to start shifting a portion of productivity away from the socialist/communist "everything is free" regime we have going right now and start moving into a free market set up.
Simply put, start encouraging people to develop private industries, private factories, private land, all which sell products to other private people or some sort of government entity through purchasing/selling contracts. This will keep people invested, give them a sense of power, keep them doing something instead of bouncing around the city waiting for shit to be stirred up. Not all resources should be privatized of course, as Qral mentioned, "basic infrastructure needs to be maintained", but for the sake of productivity and maintaining a tangible presence on the server, specific niche markets can be filled by a private company.
Shit that can be privatized even before enchantments encourage these particular industries include building design, fortress security, land security, rail industry, food industry (?), armor industry, potion industry, maintenance industry, valuable ore industry, and even banking and lawyer firms if people start obtaining large amounts of tangible diamond wealth and we set up basic law. Shit son, maybe even a stock exchange.
Please feel free to share your questions, concerns, pros and cons of my suggestion.
This leads me to try and initiate this free market shift and inquire about the idea behind a private rail industry that could work with the government to encourage diplomacy and trade with other cities in Bet and the rest of the server. I would be willing to set up some sort of company with our own PRIVATE factory and set up rail lines for a significant fee. Would there be enough demand for such a company?

A few things have become apparent since the beginning of 3.0 and now the return of Tigen.

1. Since Gbrbgryn and Southernbloc appear to be completely not playing on Civtemp, they are being replaced for the duration of Civtemp. Qral has been reinstated as Minister of Agriculture, he has contributed enormously and deserves a real say in how things are run. Ministry of Defense is open for the moment, but we should get that filled soon-ish.
2. We are starting a Gimmel to Aleph railroad. Mine for cobble, mine for diamonds, get rich while doing work you guys.
3. Sugarcane is a priority trade import, as is wood. If you can sell our bread (we have a ton) to people for wood or sugarcane, you are a god amongst men and shall be remembered as such.
4. Certain individuals have contributed enormously and are very trustworthy. Just because you are not on the council does not mean your voice doesn't count. The following individuals shall be considered able to speak on our behalf to the wider world: Auxchar, Aukfear, Certainty_, The_Bob_Namg, Figasaur, Mons, and anybody on the council. Muckknuckle and others are also trusted, but I haven't quite figured out what their mode of communication is, so until further notice, default diplomacy goes to the listed individuals. Please don't do impulsive things or rile up the newfriends and bay12 people, it causes problems.
5. Please continue gathering cobble for gatehouses. Muck is in charge of the main gatehouse, please follow his lead. If other people want to work on the other gatehouses, by all means please do, just don't fuck it up.
6. Try to get diamond armor, it's easy as fuck in Tet, just go work on the railroad for fifteen minutes.
7. Jasiel, Josias0, and NES2 have been let in on the condition that they don't cause trouble. Please don't give them mod on any groups until they prove themselves reformed and trustworthy, but don't be a jackass to them. They expressed an interest in being contributing members of our little group, no need to hold old grudges.
In all, we're doing extremely well, just keep up the good work, guys. In particular, our main goals now are getting big defenses up and getting potions for PvP. Player essences and XP are incoming, so prepare your angus for the coming storm.

The post was written for reddit, pls no bully.
For the past 15 months I've been dreaming up a server that takes the best elements that define Civcraft and blend them with some of the competitiveness that you see in the faction servers. So I spent a fair amount of time off and on writing a custom plugin from the ground up that incorporated many of the ideas of Civcraft while adding some new flair.
I toyed with the idea of whether to actually set up a server, but when 2.0 shut down and it became apparent that 3.0 would not be up for several weeks, I decided now would be a perfect time to launch.

Some ideas might work, some might not, but being able to rapidly try out new radical ideas while having fun is the goal.
Events
One aspect that makes Civcraft so interesting is the interaction and competition at times with other players. While many would be quick to loath the HCF invasions, you would find that often the most exciting and memorable times have been during these periods. Some people have argued that you need some sort of raiding class to keep the server interesting. There have even been extensive discussions about creating a Drama Factory, just to artificially create competition to keep things interesting!
I plan to break this monotony by introducing periodic events into the server where players can optionally compete against other players for prizes such as materials, gear, and bragging rights.
The types of events are completely up in the air. I have a few ideas of my own, but I am also looking for ideas from other players as to what would be fun. King of the Hill, or something similar to the vault break event on CivTest come to mind. Who knows, maybe some cash prizes will even be involved.
Notable Game Changes
Apart from events, there are a few notable changes from Civcraft.
>No alts are allowed
>NameLayer does not exist and has been replaced with a new set of group commands, more similar to faction servers
>Reinforcement strengths are increased, with the addition of a Diamond Block reinforcement
>Factories are entirely redesigned with tiered levels, and don't require upkeep costs.
>Blocks that have lore can be placed, and picked up again. (Factories can be moved at will.)
>The addition of new blocks such as a steel door which takes longer to break than an iron door, and secure signs which can only be read by group members.
>Snitches are lore blocks instead of normal jukeboxes, log reinforcement breaks, and can be checked remotely.
>Dirt and cobblestone fall like gravel
>RealisticBiomes is out and the XP system is redesigned to eliminate the need for bots while creating land scarcity.
>Nether access is through factory created teleportation blocks similar to Nether Factories, but there is no upkeep cost, exclusion radius, and they can be moved.
>Instead of coal cost, prison pearls keep a strength value that needs to be manually upkept with a factory to keep players pearled.
>An added Jailbreak mechanic that allows players to attempt to free pearled players through the use of an expensive factory item.

I can't believe I actually have to say this. I recognize that plenty of people will think it rich, coming from me, but I don't really care. My words should be judged for their own merit, not who I am, if you think otherwise that's SJW-tier "judge the speaker, not the speech" garbage. Please don't turn this thread into a shitshow.
The Issue
This is a PUBLIC BOARD. Please, please, specifically people who are prone to namefagging while saying stupid shit (especially if they actually believe it), realize that any cockroach can see what you post. And also realize that what you say reflects on all of us.
Several people have posted Lysika's memes while namefagging. The ADMINS CAN SEE THAT SHIT. THEY CAN AND WILL BAN YOU FOR IT! You're lucky that they haven't already, they could have purged far more of us than just Camo and Outcast, let's not give them more reasons to do so.
In addition, realize that to reddit, they don't have any indication of whose opinion actually matters here. They don't know a chain of command, they have no idea our internal workings. So anything you say, even if you and everybody else here knows that you are just a newfriend or aren't in the government, can and will be used against ALL OF US. So please stop giving the cockroaches ammunition.
If you really want to post lysika memes (which I don't recommend regardless, because that's how those of us who got banned in the first place got the banhammer) do it privately, do it anonymously, but realize this: if you don't want Reiko, immer, Kovio, Dave, or any of the other mods on the board to know who it is, don't post it at all. If you don't trust any of the four of them to keep your opinion secret, then DON'T POST IT AT ALL. They can and will see who posts things, if you think (probably erroneously, but whatever) that they will use it against you, don't do it.
As a final thought, I think that we should boycott the subreddit as a whole, with a few people who are known not to fuck up subreddit PvP encouraged to make statements on behalf of the group. I, for one, know that I do not fall into the category of people who don't fuck up subreddit PvP, for better or worse, and so will not be posting on the subreddit for the foreseeable future. Hopefully others will do the same.

Though CivCraft has yet to start up again, I would like to take this time in the calm before the storm to introduce my company. In this post, and several following it, I hope to address what areas of expertise that CSC will be handling, and my plans for the future. When I first discovered CivCraft, I was instantly taken. I hadn't played MineCraft for some time, as multiplayer survival servers had lost their appeal, and single player was even less engaging. My interest was sparked by an emphasis on what I had always thought to be the aspect of the game containing the most depth, player interaction. A server, or experiment rather, with this as its focus has the opportunity to evolve independent of the limits of the medium.
In short, Creative Solutions Consulting will be a tool for aiding the expansion of this experiment, specifically the component which I enjoy the most, encouraging player interaction. It is my vision that it will be used by everyone from the most dedicated heads of state to first day newfriends.

As you will read in the following section, integrity and reliability are essential components in a positive transaction. To that end, CSC will keep a detailed record for employers and employees. For every contract kept, a white mark is earned. For every contract broken, a black mark is earned. These statistics will be made publically available, and referenced by CSC. A sort of simplified implementation of a credit score.
Those who choose to dedicate themselves more exclusively to CSC will enjoy benefits which scale with the amount of time they have spent with the company, as well as the number of white marks they have accrued. This will take the form of improved wages, preferential job placement, and so on.

Obviously, there are only potential nations and theoretical resources at the moment, but that is no reason not to be employed and have employees right off the bat. A small fee will be presented to the employer for doing the heavy lifting in recruitment. After a discussion with bgbba, we've decided to announce our official position. That we will not be participating in the Pan-Chan city. As a result, I will not be disclosing information on the reasons why with anyone from outside of Cronos Industries, and hopefully the Pan-chan Party will do the same. With that said and done, we have been offered an alliance, and will be living in the same shard for the beginning of 3.0. We are willing to accept this offer, but we will be a separate and private entity.

Pan-Chan City Discussion Thread V.2
Previous thread petered out and since the meeting a few general ideas have been put forth and some things decided on.
Meeting Decisions
1. Our main priority is food. For this purpose, when 3.0 hits, we are going to hit the ground running, team up with the Neustrians, /A/kihabarans, and Gensokyans/Grundeswegians to create a temporary farming settlement on the border of one of the good farming shards that we spawn in.
During this time, we will also be scouting. The thing is, we will absolutely have to be trading regardless, no shard is going to be objectively shitty to settle in, because even if we can't make XP we can still specialize and sell our refined goods for things. So we need to scout and figure out what we're dealing with so we can coordinate settling with the HKE crowd, since Neustria and possibly /A/kihabara will be sharing a shard with us, as allies.
2. Qral has been replaced by Gbrbgryn as Minister of Agriculture. Qral, you got good ideas, but Gb has more experience. That's not to say you shouldn't work on farms, you should, but the administration is best done by Gb.
3. Southern has been put into Ministry of Defense for the time being, with Reiko as an advisor.
4. The HKE, /A/kihabara, Neustria, and us are all now in a mutual defense pact. The details of this will be hammered out once we actually get set up in 3.0. For now, just assume that if any of us four nations get fucked with, the other three will have their back.
General Discussion Topics
1. We still don't know a name for ourselves and no consensus is yet achieved. Suggest names in this thread.
2. The city will not be entirely pre-planned, but there will be an element of planning. The whole city and its defenses will be integrated completely, the idea that we can just throw up some bastions and expect to hold what will become one of the most important cities on the server is ludicrous. Traps, ect, discuss here.

Lysika's Lust, a birthday present to Aufdenstadt
Lysika_Lantriel's bones creaked as his scrawny frame peeked out of the door frame. His obese mother, currently washing dishes, felt a chill in her spine when she heard her autistic son coming from his room. What she thought would just be another regular annoyance at dealing with her burden of a son would soon turn into something much worse.
"MOOOOOOOM! Where's my tendies?" Lysika asked his mother with a tear in his eye and eyebrows raised.
"We're all out of chicken tenders Lysika, you're going to have sausage for dinner tonight"
Lysika's almost puppy-like demeanor soon turned to anger. One could hear a pin drop as Lysika's heart broke at the thought of not having his precious 'tendies and bread' meal. His eyebrows lowered to form a scowl and his lips started to pout.
"WANT TENDIES" Lysika cried out.
"I told you, we don't have any!"
"WANT TENDIES" Lysika cried again as he pulled out his skull scepter, the bottom of which he fashioned to look like a minecraft sword.
"Lysika! Please stop! I told you, we're all out of tendies, I'll buy more tomorrow!" his mother pleaded.
This was enough to make the young autistic man burst into tears. Lysika raised his scepter and struck his mother with the minecraft sword end. He continued to hit her with his scepter faster and faster, making clicking noises all throughout.
"Get breaded mom!" Lysika yelled at the top of his lungs

Lysika's mother was finally sent over the edge. Years upon years of dealing with her son's severe autism has left her emotionally crippled and jaded. She raised her palm and slapped her son amid the barrage of IRL PVP. Lysika just stood there with his eyes wide open in shock.
"Did you just... strike me?" Lysika said, barely being able to speak from the tears.
"Yes Lysika. You can't hit your mother"
"So you want cool PvP then, well mom?"
Taken aback by her son's use of an unfamiliar acronym, Lysika's mother stood there puzzled for a moment before receiving a fierce punch to the face from her own son. Despite Lysika's scrwany frame he still managed to break his mother's nose and make her recoil in pain. However, Lysika wasn't done quite just then, not by a longshot. Lysika proceeded to punch his mother in the stomach, almost causing her to vomit. He then grabbed his mother's hair and dragged her obese frame into his room. Lysika's room was one of the worst smelling places imaginable. The smell radiating from the piss bottles was matched only by a pair of his own mother's panties that Lysika had used as a cumrag for three years prior.
Pleading out for mercy, Lysika's mother was thrown onto his minecraft-themed bed. Lysika pulled down his pants and lifted up his mother's dress. A few angry punches were directed at his mother's back for all of the times she refused to make him chicken tendies or yelled at him for playing Minecraft all night. The room was completely silent as Lysika pulled down his mother's panties.

Whoever knows me only knows me as the shitposting mung that I always act like due to lack of anything better to do but this is a fresh slate and something new. If old /v/iridian members remember me when I first joined I was an industrial person gung-ho on removing reddit. I propose that all the chans make 1 giant city instead of making a bunch of them. I propose that we settle cultural
areas of the giant city to whoever in invisible districts known by us and decorative differences. I believe that the best way to keep us as channers strong is to stick united under 1 flag. Split up into factions all you want but our core we should be 1 group. Splitting into separate cities is opening us up for loss of players and a decline in strength/production. If we build up as a large city instead of a few smaller cities we provide more production, quicker production and quicker everything. A government is people who just make choices. I do not believe we need a "minister of X" for every detail. While this is a nice fantasy to have when has it worked out? I rather have the judgement of those actually doing their job run their world with somebody who represents us making specific choices that not everybody can make. I don't need an overseer to dig holes. I know what my goal is, there is nobody to make a choice about anything being dug but me and my hole.
Diplomacy is what we need a government for. We need a government to make sure the city functions properly and doesn't turn into 1 giant building with storage + factories that nobody needs to build/go anywhere else. We need a government to prevent petty fights and other stupid crap. We don't need people for anything else. I suggest a court to create precedent as we grow. Do not keep a circle of people. We all know each other. We know who does well doing things. We have seen our circlejerk government systems rise and fall countless times. We don't need that. What we need is people pushing directions and making choices that not everybody should have to make. We need people to keep records and to provide ideas. We don't need to be ruled and we dont need to be run. If people want further explanation of anything just ask me but I for one believe this would be the correct direction to go in and not to retry what has already been proven to alienate members, create cliques and bully out whoever they don't agree with. This isn't a competition amongst ourselves this is a war against reddit that the chanaidians will overcome and conquer them.

I feel like this new pan-chan town is getting off on the wrong foot already.
Autistic over-planning about things that are impossible to know at the moment.
Talk of claiming an entire shard when almost none of you can pvp.
Deciding administration before the 3.0 is even implemented.
Already holding 'pan-chan' meetings where nothing gets accomplished.
Deciding which shard to live in before all of the resources, crops and various biomes are announced or discovered.
You are putting the cart before the horse. You are being unrealistic. You are being insular to ex- /pol/ynesians and making 'le oldefag conspiracy' a reality before civcraft 3.0 even begins - turning people off and starting arguments before a start-date is even announced. If you want to make a proper multiboard town you need to start from scratch: No government - no council of 5- no ideology-no name decided before 3.0 begins. A multi-board town is not the way I would have things go - but if this the path you wish to go down - it must be done properly. Here is what i suggest:
If the playerbase wills it - I will lead for the start of 3.0. I have experience in managing a large group -am generally well respected among oldfags and newfags alike - I understand server mechanics and the delicate balance between competence and pure activity - quality and quantity. I know how to focus a workforce in the proper direction and would apply these skills to get the chan town off the ground.
We will all be poor, broke and devoid of technology or even food at the servers initiation - much like cavemen of yesteryear or Africans of today. Not /pol/, not /v/, not /tg/, not /a/ not /k/ but a tribe of chan we shall be. Earlier today a Grundeswegian won the imperial crown of the HKR - http://www.reddit.com/r/Civcraft/comments/2zppdj/announcing_the_second_emperor_of_the_holy/
This means that should we choose to go forward with it, the unification of the Chans can be made a reality. With both sides having a nether portal, the unification would be more than just symbolic and would allow for real cooperation to build a great and far reaching empire of the chans. Besides getting to be super nationalistic, the combined legacies of Breslau, Grundeswald, and Chanada would give the PCU unprecedented political and territorial power, as well as a great opportunity for economic cooperation.
What remains up for discussion is what the organization of this union would look like and the status of the HKR imperial crown. The HKR operates more or less the same as Chanada does so there likely wouldn't be that much terribly different besides the expansion of the chan family.
What do yallz think? Hopefully we can have a meeting tomorrow to discuss this.

Civcraft is a server people actually care about and are invested in, they don't want to get pearled for shit they did in the beginning of the map. If people fuck with you, screenshot everything and keep evidence. Use that against them later on and pearl them.
4. People don't care about you guys as much as you think. Just don't act like autistic memers in serious situations and stop being so retarded.

Pan-Chan Town Official Discussion Thread
This is to replace the previous thread, which got derailed by infighting. A much more formalized plan, including a general direction to move in and potential appointees for positions.
1. Outposts and segregated districts are, for the time being, out. Free association is in force. If /pol/ wants to stick with /pol/ guys, they totally can and should, but there won't be official districts from the outset.

3. Government Structure: Five Councilors. Four Ministers (Agriculture, Production, Defense, and Infrastructure) and a Mayor of the town. These five will, when it becomes necessary and pertinent, elect a leader from among any of the citizenry of the town or elevate one of their own to the position. The position of a sole leader is still up to debate, however, nothing is set in stone beyond a preliminary council.

Obviously, these things are still somewhat up to debate, but we have decided on a general idea of our priorities when starting out. Just because you aren't a minister doesn't mean you can't participate. They are really there to propose goals and manage the town, not to order people around. If you can help out, please just do. Sburc, Gbrbgryn, etcetera, feel free to join in or even ask for positions within the government, you guys are competent and will be listened to regardless of any official ranking.
As a final note, we have absolutely no idea who we want to vote for as leader. We'll cross that bridge when we get there, but for the time being we can definitely sort out priorities quickly using this system of ministers and the mayor. Obviously, nobody is held to their role, only their overall loyalty to the goals.
Much Needed Discussion To Prevent Us From Crippling Ourselves By Splitting Up
Okay you nogs, in the past weeks I heard some plans and predictions from both sides, and now I want to discuss how we can prevent splitting up and instead stick together, which was always our greatest virtue in 2.0.
From what I've heard, neither side has any personal problems with the other, there are no personal grudges and everyone would like to still play together, but only if their own plan is adopted.
This is retarded.
The most important thing, more than infrastructure, a name for the new nation, leaders, position or whatever, is that the old guard stays together. We are the people who we know we can trust, we are the people who will mine and grind and farm at the beginning without any sense of entitlement because we know the struggle that is civcraft first hand, we are the people who will not shit the new town up with cobble houses and then quit a day after, we are the people who will discuss politics and participate in conflict solving without going full EmpRick and as such, we should be the people who work together unified, as it has been, and as it should stay.
We should not fight about concerns that only come into play in the future, since if we split, there won't be a future, atleast not a future with a strong, global player entity consisting of us.
So what I want from you: Post a list of what you want, and a list of what you don't want our nation to be in 3.0, and elaborate on each point as to why it is there.
Once we got those two lists, we can discuss how we can compromise to achieve a nation in which everyone would be proud to live in.
Once again, splitting up means losing 50% of our players for each side, these stupid inside power games will fuck us over real hard, because leddits powerplayer stick together, and we'll have to compete with that.

It is pretty cheap to make, has a cheap upkeep of 2 arrows per use, easy to use for our players, difficult to escape for enemies, and is very easy to kill people with if someone sees them get caught.

3.0 Planning Thread
Alright guys, this is the plan that has been vetted. Obviously, nothing is concrete, but most people that have been talked to have been amiable to these suggestions. Critique, attack, disagree, do whatever. General discussion thread.
1. New, united chan nation. Not just /pol/ynesia, not /pol/ynesia and vassals. A united, new identity.

HanTzu claims that I am the reason that /A/kihabara died and I really hope this isn't the case. I want to put this issue to rest now and forever and get to the bottom of this, so that we can put this argument to rest.
Am I to blame for the decline and death of /A/kihabara? And if so, in what capacity? I'm not going to even pre-emptively try to defend myself, because if I am partially at fault I will take full responsibility for it. Nor will I pre-emptively apologize. I am putting this up as an entire thread because I want to make this very clear to people who are watching.

/Pol/ynesia General: Chanada is Kill Edition
Alright guys, there's a lot of stuff to get worked out. Unfortunately, I can't help at the moment because I am altbanned, despite having no alts. However, I've been using this opportunity to practice PvP and win a few Kohi matches. I'm sick and tired of being left out of things and being shat on for being trash at PvP, so my goal is to be Reiko-tier by Thanksgiving. Anyhow, some things.
General Government Projects
1. Mob farm on sand island. This needs to get finished, this is priority number one at the moment, unless immer says otherwise. Fully expandable and not too fancy, I have a design that works so follow that to skylimit.
2. Buy enchanted tools and sell your gathered materials in immer's shop, right in downtown Volkstadt. We always need to make XP.
3. Practice PvP. I might suck it up and start training people every night, although I'm garbage myself.
Ministry of Infrastructure Jobs
1. Finish the rail tunnel between Himmler Highlands and Wulfkhain, complete with netherbrick, rails, the works.
2. Finish the rail to the nether portal. If you're interested, I'll provide the clay for the walls.
3. Terraforming. Volkstadt is denuded and deforested, and the Reichland is still desert. If people are interested in planting some acacia trees in the desert and making that look nice, or planting trees outside the city in Volkstadt, I would appreciate it.
Volkstadt State Jobs
1. Level sand island. I want that bastard GONE. I'm going to start buying cobblestone en-mass from that place and I want every building except the farms and train station gone. Enough beating around the bush, that island dies.

/Pol/ynesia is still alive and kicking, I don't intend to watch it stagnate again or be taken down by the fall of Chanada. Volkstadt has regrown, reviving all the dead areas in the town that I had long been annoyed about. I don't intend to do what we did last time, which was wait almost three months and let the city practically go inactive.

GLOBAL WARMING
So after some discussion this morning it seems there is a good possibility that sea level around /Pol/ynesia is rising. The ocean normally occupies y62 The ocean near South Volk is occupying y64.
At first this seemed like grief, and it still may be. However, I dismiss this since the water level raise is so widespread. It goes 500 blocks east of Volk. I dismiss this since to raise water levels above water, one would have to place a layer of dirt or cobble to make dry land so that the placed water buckets could form source blocks. If you simply create pillars in the ocean and place water on them, they will only spread 1 block in each direction, as it attempts to create a water column.
The area around /Pol/ynesia's current dig site was also hit this morning. The ocean level raise covered an area larger than Wulfkhaine.
Call me a crazy tinfoil hatter, but this is either the beginning of the end or an entire griefing army.
POLYNESIA: Vassals and Protectorate States
In Polynesia there exist three power bases. Central Polynesia consists of old /pol/ claims prior to the Chan schism. All outlying lands that now belong to the /pol/ government are under the direct authority of the /pol/ gov. This means that any vassal states (Tygrus, Wulfkhaine, Spainland, Aki, old /k/ lands, etc) cannot secede land from Polynesia, because although the land is allowed to them, the land is Polynesian. Protector states, however, (Neustria), own their own land. Neustria is a sovereign nation, but they are a protectorate of /pol/.
Vassals and protectorates are not entitled to our protection if they have caused unjustified conflict with outside nations. If vassal states fight each other, the /pol/ gov will reserve the right to intervene. /pol/ reserves the right to excise any cancers inside of our claims.

Neustria thread #3 "L'armée Terroriste" edition
Neustria still led by Panzala and me, some old players restarted playing(Virus, lucaspart7 and CraftBrice, mainly), we will start a new wave of recruitement soon.
Also, we had a terrorist attack from some taco.
Right now we are working on:
-upgrade an old gold farm we found in las colonias.
-producing Xp. We will invest in an diamond cauldron soon.

Empire of Greater /Pol/ynesia ARRRT Project 2.0
A very long time ago, I instituted the ARRRT Project, in an attempt to redo the area around the Reich Tower and make it look nicer. This was met with a fair degree of success, although nobody ever goes over that way anymore, but the worst of the worst blights were eliminated. Rickety old infrastructure was removed, and ugly, disgusting buildings were flattened and terraformed over just like natural processes would do in real life.
In light of the destruction of Spainland, as well as a cascade of tiny messes surrounding Volkstadt, I'm going to reopen the ARRRT Project, but instead to create an entire agency dedicated to efforts of the kind throughout the Reich and it's vassals. Preserving the environment and restoring ruined areas is critical to the beauty of our country. We should be able to look at /Pol/ynesia and it's surroundings and say that we are proud of not just our cities and our communities, but where we live.
Main Goals
1. Fix the mess that is Spainland. Bulldoze the grief, replant the forests, deconstruct the abandoned garbage lying about. Sarahsbum is in charge of this.
2. Restore the desert going west from Volkstadt. Rebuild the bridges along the old highway to look nice, plant trees, terraform some areas to restore the ruined landscape. Bulldoze all the abandoned and non-functional cactus farms. Bulldoze all the useless highway junk and other failed projects. Figure out what to do with Lake Hitler. I will lead this.
3. Catch that ocean griefer and string him up. In the meantime, make the areas already flooded look nice, no sense in fighting an impossible battle against the (literally) rising tides. I will also head this.
4. Finish the rail system within /Pol/ynesia proper. Finish the stations, outfit all iceroads with trapdoors, fix all holes and other grief damage, make sure all the powered rails are activated, decorate the stations with cool motifs, redo the signage, work with sarahsbum to incorporate the Spainland Station. Tigen will head this if he wishes, barring that I will take it up, however I would prefer to hand it off to somebody willing to put in the few days it will take.
5. The Nether Station. Coordinate with Bob_Namg to integrate the Tygrus rail and finish the station. Make it look nice, create spaces for shops. Institute a project to finish what JoshJosh started in making the nether look nice nether-side. I will head this, but would prefer to hand it off to somebody willing and able, probably Charlieseeese. This also includes finishing the iceroad to Thule, complete with trapdoors.
6. Work with the Neustrians to do the rail at least to Neustria. Work with Avalo to fix up the rails to Xiphias. This will include netherbricking and putting clay on the walls, laying iceroads, trapdoors, the works. More information, including maps and other schemes will be given soon, probably in the aftermath of Christmas. Anybody wishing to do any one of these individual tasks or wishing to take over an entire section of the project, please state so here.
I will pay for as much as I can, but preferably people who are heading individual projects will lead in that department. We should be able to be proud of the nation we live in and it's time I stopped sitting around and being petty and actually did something to coordinate this.
I have a 3rd, 4th, and maybe a 5th Polynesian ready to follow in my footsteps. They are just waiting for the right time to strike.
After the dust settles, you need to ask yourselves if protecting progressive Nuestrians was worth losing resources, members, time, money, effort.

I was in one of the initial wave of /v/ersailles, after viridian failed. But I left cause I wasn't really having fun with the direction versailles was taking.

As most of you have gathered from recent happenings; Chanada is dead. The idealistic concept of all Chan volk living and working together under a common banner has failed. Maybe our differences in board culture were too great, maybe we had too great of an expectation for new member states - maybe the leadership of Chanada, including myself- deserves a certain amount of blame.
The sudden exodus of the CivHQ crowd has forced myself and /pol/ynesia - the only active and competent remaining Chanadian nation to make some very difficult decisions.
As can be seen from this link: http://imgur.com/lBUpsBI (yes I made it in MsPaint. sue me) I both officially dissolve the Confederacy of Chanada and proclaim The National Socialist Empire of Polynesia to be fully autonomous and free of any previous alliances or political obligations we acquired during this now-dead union. We hereby reclaim the former nations of Spainland, Tygrus, Wulfkhaine and Kompound into /pol/ynesia proper. Spainland and Wulfkhaine were once /pol/ynesian territory and all four nations were initially founded by /pol/ynesians. Furthermore we add the territories of Viridian and Akihabara to our claim. Our intention is not to grab ahold of unneeded land, but rather to look after and preserve sites of important Chanadian historical and cultural significance. I have tried to get in touch with both Arathalon and Centipede(somenumbersgohere) the undisputed leaders of the aforementioned territories. I doubt they will have any issue with /pol/ynesia keeping their lands clear from grief and squatters but this of course, is subject to change. Ultimately I will respect their decision. The lands of both Atlas and Clacton have 0 historic, strategic or sentimental value to myself or any former chanadian. The decision of what is to become of these lands falls to mobaction and thatbeamishguy respectively.
If at some point in the future we decide to recruit new *chan board nations, we will have plenty of space to do so: marked in orange, from our own territory to grant- but for the moment /pol/ynesia must look inward and focus on ourselves.
So what becomes of the purple land? I have already been approached by a number of different, well established members of the server asking to purchase the land - which I have declined. The reason the entity formally known as chanada had such a large claim - was to support future growth. A valid reason considering our explosive population booms.
With this spirit in mind: I offer up all of the purple land to new startup nations, free of charge, allegiance, political obligation or ideology. I can't count the number of times on this sub that I have seen new players trying to settle on claimed land, get booted off and and complain "is there even any unclaimed land left?" Well now there is. I would not like to see the former Chanadian federal lands gobbled up and held onto by CKR, FT. Nox, Arran or any other existing entity. Newfriends who are opposed to being in an established city need an area to build, farm and grow. As such; the land marked purple is to be exclusively used for NEW NATIONS. I would define such a nation as one where 75% of it's founding members have played for less than 3 months on this server. /pol/ynesia will try to enforce this as best we can, but I would greatly appreciate any help in forming a 'new-friend homestead protection coalition' of sorts to ensure that these lands are used for this purpose. Such an organization may prevent the drama and headache of new-friends settling on your claims as well...
To those banned from Chanada or presume to be at war with us; you are hereby unbanned: There's not much left here for you anymore. Polynesia is still private so I'd ask that you request permission should you wish to visit.

Chan Meeting
Alright, I usually don't like to be the one to call these, because I think immer and the other leaders are more attuned to the needs of the Confederacy. That being said, I think that due to recent changes and developments within the alliance we should hold a chan meeting and decide on a few things that I think should be a matter of public input and housekeeping.
Tentative Agenda
1. The admission of Ft. Knox and all considerations regarding Zoltan/Phlower's request to join the Confederation. Somebody in the other thread laid out an extremely good argument for his inclusion and I think that we should at the very least discuss it. According to Phlower, nothing was decided, although I have heard from some people that a meeting was indeed held.
2. The Spainland crisis. It is very clear that /K/ompound really dindu nuffin in this case and that either one of two things happened: the leader of one chan nation attacked another OR the leader of a chan nation didn't announce his accession to the leadership of the country and allows this to happen under his watch. Either way, we now have at least five, in some cases well armed, individuals claiming the country, which has contributed diddly squat for months. Let's get this sorted out.
3. Apportionment of voting power within the alliance. /A/kihabara clearly has lost the qualifications for its one vote, while Neustria now qualifies for one vote.
4. Similar to this issue, Cian. I hate to bring up something contentious, but I'm going to stick my neck on the line here and say that this is a critical problem. A nation led by a channer has claimed land within Chanada, but nobody from chan boards have actually been recruited, to my knowledge. This presents a problem that should be at least made very clear: Do nations in Chanada have to be made of channers from a board or not. And if not, where is the line?

We announce our official intent to secede from the Chanadian confederation and dissolve any contracts/agreements, official or unofficial, therein that pertain to any individual who is a member of either Tazmily or part of the entity known as FAGT.
Because no constitution or law code has ever been ratified in Chanada under the present government officials, this process should and will be swift, unobtrusive, and ultimately for the best of both parties concerned. Our decision is final and not up for discussion, and no official of either Tazmily or FAGT will respond to shitposts or comments that are an attempt to change this decision. We are, however, open to discussing and finalizing our official land claims which you will find at the end of this post.
Some of you may be shocked, for others this may come as no surprise. Know that there is absolutely no ill-harm intended through this secession. We simply have decided that we are better off alone to operate under our own laws, with others we synergize best with.
It should be noted that our decision to secede is not reactionary to any of the recent events that have caused excessive drama in Chanada. Moreover, our criticisms and complaints about the confederacy have been accumulating for a while. We fundamentally disagree with the inefficient and reactionary way Chanada deals with its inner workings and how they affect foreign policy, or lack thereof. We consistently butt heads when it comes to deciding on matters that affect the future of Chanada, and consistently are let down when nobody follows through. We fundamentally disagree with the government workings as whole, and seek to further our own goals and interests without having to impede on the workings over other nations. For these reasons and many others, we announce the formation of Civcraft Headquarters, which will be a completely separate, sovereign entity disassociated with the entirety of Chanada.
The territory outlined below details the borders of our federation. We will exercise our sovereign ownership of this land and all property within its borders if there are no disputes or inaccuracies provided.

It's been a long time coming.
Yesterday I was a single click away from secession until Tazmily agreed to recognize me. I desired a majority of voting nations to recognize me in order to stay within the union. With Tazmily's secession from Chanada this quota is not met and as such Cian will be seceding alone as of 10/27/2015. All policies/land claims/etc stay the same for Cian. Please note that anyone from Polynesia is not allowed to enter Cian, and all prior exemptions are null and void.
As such I will take the liberty to remove myself from any and all Chan groups as soon as I get on.

-Gbrgryn (I think that's how it's spelled) is our new Minister of Agriculture, although he is in vacation
-The main XP constraint is saplings. As such, we are reactivating the system of government shops and subsidization for harvesting certain materials.

New leader of Spainland
Hey, guys, Bees here. with some news.
There has been some talk with ownership of Spainland with me and Rick, and it has been given to me officially today (forgot to screenshot the conversation last night).
I am aware some things have happened today with the former substitute leader of Spainland, and I plan to work around that.
Starting today Spainland is my city, and I would like to repair relations which may have been hurt with our nice /k/ommand and /pol/lock neighbors, and strengthen connections with the whole confederacy.
I hope that as a city Spainland will have as well relations with those cities as I personally have with the members of those cities.

Would anyone be interested in making a Chanadian owned world wonder? Supplies would be donated and supplied by everyone participating, and it would be built on Chanadian land not already claimed by a city, or land that is donated by a city who happens to have wilderness that they don't mind transferring as common chanadian property.
It would be a great reason to interact with each other, and will alow us to practice working together. It will also be excellent to post when we are shilling for newfags. Overall it will be a fun project that we can all benefit from in some shape or form.

Today a Spainland official, known as TheSavvySJ, attacked and pearled a /k/ member after breaking into the /k/ factory room and destroying all the chests so that the items spilled on the floor to despawn.
He stated that he was doing this under "Cions" orders which we don't believe for a moment. TheSavvySJ has acted in the place of Spainland leadership as the only active member of the nation.
This will have been the third attack on /k/ by Spainland in the last week and as such we will be responding accordingly.

Hey, for anyone interested: there's a new server going up in a few days called Devoted. It's another civilization-type server, like civcraft and civex, and uses many of the same mods. The moderation and rules are pretty much the same as civcraft, so no admin intervention or rules against griefing/raiding like on civex. The map is divided into islands and starts small, with new islands being added over time. If you're looking for a change of pace or want to get in on a civ-type server at the launch, check it out.

Just because nobodies reminding you to practice doesn't mean you shouldn't. Practice each day so that we won't have to relies on others to fight for us.
Na.badlion.net is a great pvp server, it's where me and Reiko started off (after GG.cx). Play on the pot pvp modes (Kohi, Vanilla, Nodebuff). People here are way easier than on Kohi.

Hi, it's been a while. I've been involved in a few things while I've been gone, and I'm just going to post and test the waters for a Civcraft project I've been throwing around for while and waiting to find a leader and figurehead for so I can back seat the whole thing like I always do.
Brutal honesty aside, I'm looking for people interested in founding and developing a proper "city" with a coherent design philosophy. It comes as an idea to answer the lack of aesthetic unity that other cities, even in Chanada, tend to exemplify. It also comes as a way to do something a bit more interesting within Chanada than another board-themed city.
Are you from /g/, /tech/, /cyber/, /biz/, or lainchan? Like vaporwave, neo-80's aesthetic, and the movies Drive, Blade Runner, and Ghost in the Shell? Do you wanna live in a dystopian technoscape ruled by soulless corporate entities, but can't afford to move to New York City IRL? Do you want to run a mercenary outfit employed by said soulless corporate entities? Do you want to run around the underground of a vast metropolis with electronica blasting in your ears? If so, this might be the project for you.
What I'm looking to build is a crowded skyline of skyscrapers towarding above a dense and near-subterranean cityscape with a minimal amount of exposure to the sky and with as minimal green space as possible. The architecture would be inspired heavily cyberpunk, modernism, Italian futurism, and New York City. The pictures posted should provide some idea of what I'm going for; tall, cluttered, sprawling, lit, and futuristic. Any building in the central circle of the city must be a skyscraper; height limits would lessen towards the perimeter.
The government is still in development, but the general notion would be rule of wealth. Simply put, your input as far as resources and monetary contribution buy you more sway in the "legislative" procedure, and the city would be governed by its wealthiest citizens and most powerful corporate entities as a result. Whether we would issue a currency as a physical manifestation of politic power, or use an already existing one like diamond is up for debate.

In the aftermath of last night, I feel the need to post this. If people think that I'm going to blow all of /k/ out, or that I'm speaking for all of /Pol/ynesia, please don't. What I say here, I say for myself and myself alone.
When I first joined the server, I saw a group of people with great promise. I came from a server where hating Civcraft was par for the course, and I came here under the assumption that I would either hate the place or be hated. Instead, I found a welcoming community of some of the best people I've ever encountered over the internet.
Seeing this community, I wanted to add something to it and instead of bringing in more people to /Pol/ynesia, what I realized that Chanada needed was balance. We needed a dynamic power structure and as I sat in Volkstadt and watched /V/iridian, /A/kihabara, FAGT, and other towns slowly wither away, I understood that we needed a self-sustaining way to bring people together, through expanding Chanada's network of countries. And so, only a month into my stint here, I advertised on /k/ and helped to set up the /K/ountry.
Where I once saw a potential source of friends, I now see nothing but strife, conflict, and a vast gulf between our nations. I have advocated time and time and time again to offer you guys assistance, to help you stay alive, to give you concessions on the bargaining table, and to help you expand your economy and production capacity. When others wanted you all pearled, I said no. I put on my prot and went to defend you and stabilize the situation, with Tigen, when nobody else would. When you needed help with griefers, Volkstadt sent its people.
But, in recent weeks, I find I can no longer justify defending the actions of /K/ountry and where I once saw a source of vibrant discussion, with Wulfkhaine, Spainland, Tygrus, and /K/ all happily talking together, I now see nothing but Syncrates, sitting behind his great wall, occasionally telling me to 'fuck off' and that 'you're all useless' when I calmly ask for proof of his increasingly delusional and dire predictions. And I am sick and tired of it. Out of respect for www66 and Spongy, as well as the rest of /K/, who have asked us in the past to put problems out in the open rather than spam channels, I am bringing this problem out where everybody can see it:
I'm calling you out, Syncrates. For the past few weeks, your citizens have been willing and able to PvP and to practice with us. While you sit behind your wall, you demand that we come to you, that we make the first move, that we hand you equality on a silver platter. Well guess what, that's not how life, or this server, works. If you want to be treated equally, start acting equal. You are the junior partner because you do not earn respect from anybody on the world stage, nevermind even within your own alliance group. Instead of coming to us and offering trade deals, you sit and wait for us to do so. And even worse, like last night, when immer offered an XP for Ingredient deal, you spit in his face and said that you were 'fine' with XP, despite not having the ability to make so much as a diamond work pick.

Re-establishing Heirarchy
Many of you know know this already but I'd like to bring this out into the open clearly for all to see. Camokool, my long time 2nd in command, viceroy, top quality shitposter, ying to my yang and all 'round good guy told me that due to uni classes he is going to be cutting back on his time playing autismcraft. Rather than see /pol/ynesia take a slower role he asked me to elect a successor to the #2 position. This was a difficult decision as /pol/ is quite active and filled with many willing and qualified players. Tigen was a prime candidate for the position however he fell off the radar as soon as he arrived at Uni hope you are OK bud, we have been worried about you

Bg will continue to hold the position of Minister of Infrastructure until the time comes when he decides to relinquish the position. Bgbba, Outcast and I have a good working relationship and see eye-to-eye on most issues however both Reichsführer Outcast and myself hold authority in any major decisions that may arise.

It is your duty to mentor active players to be able to defend themselves and contribute to any military operations. Show them the basics, the equipment, the tactics... take them to other servers and spar with them. Show them the benefits of enchantments. Help them become as good as you, or at least halfway competent.
The biggest complaint I hear is that there aren't enough good PVP'ers in Chanada... fucking do something about it.
ATTENTION CHANADA BUREAUCRACY
Why aren't you subsidizing money and resources to players willing to fight? You should be helping citizens arm themselves so they can contribute to any war effort. Every citizen should have a set of armor, weapons, and pearls. Maybe give certain citizens who graduate from the war academy a basic starter set and show them how to produce their own equipment later on themselves.
Tactical Missions
It doesn't make sense that when there are 8 people online in /pol/ alone there aren't scouting or raiding parties being launched into Mir lands or the nether. It doesn't take a full scale attack on their obsidian bunker to win the war.
Scouting Missions:
probe the outskirts of their lands or even just the frontiers of Chanada, look for their players who are mining, cutting down trees, derping or afk'ing. Patrolling the territory of Chanada should be done frequently anyway but isn't being done at all.
Raiding Missions:
- Do what the Vikings did - Sometimes it's just enough to destroy crops, break into private chests, or burn houses down to lower their morale. 2 or 3 hard PVP'ers followed by a group of normies to grief. This should be done especially if there's enough chan players online and hardly anyone else. Burning crosses, swastikas, and propaganda signs for added effect.

Catpeterists, it is time for you to stand erect, for a tong wishes to grasp your attention.
Five months ago I abandoned this world, and since my return I have been amazed. Amazed by the growth of our nation, by the architecture in our cities, by the infrastructure which connects them and makes them run.

But lo, it appears the people of today do not remember the Holy acts of Catpeter. The people of today forget the Million Peter March, and of those Noble Crusades who were felled at Tell Aviv. The people of today chose to denounce Catpeter, despite his righteous actions, because of the actions of a mortal, blessed as a tong he may be, Immelol.

Alright, since the Mir War has wound down, it's time for a chan meeting.
Points to Consider:
1. Recognizing the remaining conflicted claims with the U3P: Atolia and Wander Association. (Tazmily's claims with them are their own business.)
2. Continued constitutional discussion. Not ratifying it, just discussing and proposing changes and such.
3. Border defense, marking borders, and other things related to land claims and defending them.
4. Ownership of public facilities and management of reinforcement and protection groups related to them, specifically the nether factory and the vault.
5. Chanox and what the plan is with that. (I haven't heard anything about it, beyond that it will be brought up.)
Hey, everyone: have a test. Try to find some iron to buy. I won't say it's impossible, but it is near it; you won't find some except if you ask VERY rich member of chanada.
Iron shortage seems to be everywhere on civcraft. And it goes on. It won't stop by some magic way. In fact it'll ; price of iron will go up as demand stay high.
But, as it happens, nearly all price in chanada will have gone up, as iron is THE chanada trading currency (with diamond, but for shop etc... it is more common to see price in iron).
We have a huge issue with iron;
(Also, as we use iron and diamond, both have their price changing hardly every day, it's hard to stay on a good price).
I Think we can say chanadian financial system is broken (as it doesn't exist, in fact)...
Here is my solution for the issue. Iron is highly used as a currency (all price are in it, and I usually stockpile some just to be able to buy goods with it ). But there is a shortage, so we need to use something else as a currency; There is diamond, that's true, it is in fact the BEST alternative we have, its price is quite stable and there is plenty of it.
But we cannot do all echange in diamond, it is too big to be used as a currency .
I think Chanada need its own paper currency. I know it failed in past in Volk because of some heist [nervously look on immer direction]. Reichmarks won't had worked anyway; it was on iron and diamond; But iron and diamond's price change. If the rate d => i change, we change the currency with i or d ? It wasn't a good idea.
Chanada is enoughly big to have its own currency, I think.
So , we need a paper currency based on diamond. Let's make it, with a money, for example, worth a tenth of a diamond, make bank everywhere to start use it, and soon we will have huge amount of diamond.
For it, we need a central bank and a big vault to stockpile diamond's currency value.
But having huge pile of diamond in vault is useless.
Just use them to boost economy.Let people borrow some of it (without interest rate, it hurts so much economy. In fact, we should extend the "NO USURY ALLOWED" thing of /pol/ to all chanada).
I know some will not like this idea, but, seriously, it'll flourish chanadian economy.
Also, even if chanadian leaders reject it, I'll keep it for my State, I don't want people to be forbide to buy things because "muh, iron as currency".

WAR TIME IN CHANADA
SHIT YOU SHOULD DO TO STAY SAFE:
- Dropchest or altvault your valuables, don't go anywhere near them when people are around you to keep them safe.
- Bastion your builds or the most important parts of your city. SRO/DRO grief are one of the most annoying things that could come from this
- SNITCHES. Even if they're lazily placed surface snitches just for now. I'll personally probably run around placing surface snitches on the "Chan-s" group since the majority of Chanadians are already on that group. Just name them after whatever city they're in.
- Don't wander outside of Chanada. Seriously, unless you're geared and have enough combat experience to not instantly die when you're surprise attacked, stay within the relative safety of our nation.
- If you don't yet have radar, GET IT. http://dydoisbutts.info:8080/job/CivRadar/
- If you're not a combatant, log out when you see danger, or run to somewhere safe if you have one available.
- Be careful using any water/vine drops or minecart teleporters. They may be trapped.
- Ask around if the Netherfactory is safe before using it, you never know if someone is camping around the portal.
- DO NOT IDLE OR AFK unless it's within an IRO/DRO room.
- Make sure your bed is set and no obstructed (not surround by blocks on the same height). You don't want to risk random spawning in unknown territory if you die by accident.

I'd hope we wouldn't have to do one of these, I was travelling around the empire last night mapping out our rails, and I discovered that we have a pre-existing claim on some Federal Chan/Polynesian land.
The reason I've never noticed before, is because it comes under Dwarrow's claims from when he was with the UGI, and he doesn't exactly play the politics game, he just likes to AFK for materials and build shit.
Anyway, the area in question is the northernmost part of desert biome to the south of Pecorino, where he has two cactus farms (one public) that have been there since even viridian existed. (Aerothers remembers helping to build it when he first joined the server)
I'd appreciate if you could agree to scale back your claims in that area (I had a walk around it last night, you have no infrastructure there that I can see)

On the denial of Chan claims (COPYPASTA FOR REDDIT)
Hello there fellow Redditor, it seems as if you have been caught up in land dispute with a Kameraden of the holy lands of Chanada. Allow me to pontificate a bit, for your education, one of the rules of being a chan state is “You have to have an active population”. This rule means exactly what it means. Land claims are based on that.
On the rest of the server, particularly in ANCAP city's. A player will typically get a plot of 16x16 blocks. They pay their taxes, buy more plots or land to farm, create wealth, or just stay there for the hell of it. So when you talk to a Chanadian about this, they will most likely pretend to be interested, only to later break into your shit, as you just described your house, status, and location. Now, in chanda, we don't give a fuck, we don't want grid cities like every other nation. This means, that we don't have to fit 50 fucking people into an ugly ass high rise tower. You don't get a bonus points on the goody goody meter for “Saving space” by doing so either. You'll sit there, in your shitty tower looking over more shitty towers down in whist it remains an empty building.
When you make a comment like “Hurr durr, Chan claims are stupid and too big!” you are begging for attention. The only reason you would post such an idiotic comment is because A. You're a commie who doesn't believe in private property. Or B. Because you're a fucking anarchist prick. Or C. You are someone who doesn't know how to read maps. For instance, take a look at figure 1. That is the current internal claims of Chanada. In figure 2. you'll see land that is currently claimed by nations within Chanada. There are 16. By all means, go onto txapu.com, put land claims to “On”. And spot out which nations are bigger (Outside of Chanada) then ones that are on fig. 2. Last of all, land that is not being used is in fig.3. It has been left to chanada from FAGT. Fun fact, lands under FAGT we once active nations – and as a bonus, is currently being held as land for expansion, it is also common land – free to build or house any Chanadian.
Last time I checked. People can claim land too. This should be a right to anyone playing on the server, however if you claim land that someone else has already claimed, you may be in for some backlash. Funny enough, it's almost like this server revolves around civilizations and political ideologies, adding the effect of enforcing those claims; which, Chanada does. See: Mir war.
tl;dr: Before you go sprouting your nigger tier Blasphemy, check how much land we – as a collection of nations enforce because it has an active population.

It's been almost over a year since I started playing civcraft with you all.
I've made some mistakes and I would finally like to apologize for the mistakes I made in Chanada involving Intis and Chanada as a whole.
When I started out I was a power hungry bitch and that caused me to do things like fuck over the IDF, join the IDF and drive Intis into the ground. I thought what I was doing was helping when in fact it was hurting.
I played a huge roll in destroying a very nice city and looking back at it now I feel horrible about it.
Icenia right now is doing great and I have learned a lot from my past mistakes and I think that the reason Icenia has survived and boomed is due to learning from my past mistakes in Chanada.
I know a lot of you will not forgive me and continue to hate me for shitstiring with you all but I honestly feel bad.
I hope relations can continue to improve between Icenia and Chanada as the future rolls on.
TL;DR. I am accepting full blame for the death of Intis.

The Restoration of Titan
This will probably happen IF it happens a little ways from now, I myself will have to focus on Tyguria before anything else but I proposed this idea to Camo and the bay12 dudes and they were fine with it. The plan as of now is some time after the olympics with the blessing of Ryden I and hopefully many but several volunteers will go to Titan and work on repairing the trench, all rail bridges across the trench, updating the snitch network, repairing grief damage, tearing down derelict buildings in and outside of Titan, and then shilling on /b/ and possibly other boards (even perhaps trying to grab old HCF fellows) to move back in.
Hantzu as I understand it claims Titan as his and doesn't want new people repopulating Titan, I do not understand nor condone this so I will stand by Ryden's claim and protection of Titan.
I think this project is actually smaller than one would think, and with the massive resources/manpower the northern states have now it can definitely be done in a short time and very effectively by us.
Thoughts? Concerns? Yes Beamish, I know it's a "bad idea you massive retawd" but Titan was our symbol of strenght for the longest time and we ought to restore it to at least some perversion of that position.

So I, Lailynator, have been trying to work out a peaceful solution with sempha, who has talked to lysika about the following points, and according to sempha it seems to be an acceptable agreement for everyone in Mir:
The state of Mir becomes legally independent from Silesia and Chanada as soon as these critera are met:
1. Those who have been pearled over this conflict must be released immediately.
2. The Nether Factory must be made Publicly accessible for all chanadians within the next 50 days. (I give them this much time to finish building their castle and move anything of value away from the Nether Factory.)
3. A rail must be built from the nether factory directly to Silesian lands (preferably to Bielefeld), so that access to these parts of chanada through the NF is made easier.
4. I will recieve a payment of 256d and 128 iron blocks in exchange for the lands colored dark orange on this map.
5. Any further signs of aggression or attempts of escalating this conflict by either party will result in nullification of this treaty. (Hopefully this won't mean war, but another round of rational talks)
There is a bit of uninhabited, undeveloped land owned by chanada (marked bright orange), which I would like to suggest as material for a purchase negotiation sometime in the future when relations have cooled down. (Unlikely chanadians would ever accept that, but suggestions dont hurt)
If everybody who matters in this conflict can agree over this treaty, I will write a contract into a book which will be signed in Bielefeld on monday.
Call me a fool for thinking this can work out, but as long as every point of this treaty is respected, we could actually achieve a peaceful compromise which restores peace and brings new life to the everso quiet ++

I would like to know about my current status in Chanada. I know I have been banned from the land since I left in January of this year.
If possible I would like for that ban to be lifted so I can build an embassy in Polynesia at some point and attend the pan-chan Olympics when they do happen to support the Icenian team which Immer said could come.
I understand that a lot of individuals in Chanada have very strong feelings about me. I understand if you do not want to lift the ban-however I am helping lead my own nation now and I think it would only serve to make relations better if the ban was lifted.

Alright so as many of you know, we are going to be playing on the kohi factions server to practice our pvp skill in a transferable way to civcraft and for general team building and fun.
Camokool and I will be taking over for tomorrow since the leader, Daddo, and other officer, Kovio, are absent because of real life reasons.
Here is what you need to know

We need to go east, find mob spawners, build our base near/on the spawner, build our underground farms, get cows, and get diamond gear/possibly a loadout or two on the first day. Depending on the turn out I may have one or more people start another faction and base and catch some cows in case cows don't spawn at the main base.
Keep in mind this is for fun, but this is also to work on pvp skills. Please try not to go full retard because you could ruin it for not only yourself, but everyone involved too.

This is to better teach people how to react in situations where you really do take a loss after dying, instead of just losing elo.
We aren't going to be some powerfull well known fac, and we might not even cap a single KoTH, but doing this gains you a lot of hands on experience and helps you keep a cool head when it really matters on civcraft.
I realise most people wont do it cuz they're busy here on civcraft, but devoting an hour or two a day so we atleast have a base and combat gear is enough for us to be able to better fight as a team.

Pan-Chan Union
Everyone else is literally incapable of voicing their opinions without coming off sounding like a complete retard or shill.
The only good proposal I have ever heard for a pan-chan union actually came from immelol funnily enough and it amounted to announcing to the general sub that a "Pan-Chan Union" exists and do literally nothing else. Pretty much how Chanada was first declared as a union between Titan and Viridian when there were no actual Chanadian meetings until like the beginning of the Titan War era.
This is pretty much my vision--stop trying to do stupid piecemeal bullshit by having Chanadian cities joining an HKE member or having them join the HKE as one-at-a-time member states. It doesn't make sense having 8chan cities join a Krautchan Empire anyway. We have two unions, Chanada and the HKE, and there's no reason for one to try to integrate the other. Grundeswald is in this weird position where it wants to be in both at the same time, and it's really the only HKE member making any effort whatsoever to be friends with Chanada.
The alliance between our organisations is everything but de jure, I have no doubt that we would help one another in our respective times of need, even if the conflict wasn't "justified" in the eyes of the horrible reddit hegemony this server has to deal with. I want us to be outside of that hegemony. I want us to actively fight against it. We don't really interact with cities outside of our cliques unless they happen to border us, and I like that. I like how we exist in our own little bubble, perfectly content with our own respective brands of isolationism. I want to formalise that bubble, to call it the Pan-Chan Union, to have these two confederations allied in all conflicts, work together to produce xp, work on infrastructure projects, etc. I want the Pan-Chan Union to be a mutual understanding between sister nations, with no leader and no centralised authority that can control both.
This mutual understanding is how we've operated for just about a year now, and I think it's about time we gave it a name.

It will not be a fun task, but there shouldn't really be any resistance, so it won't be particularly difficult either. In fact, many would probably offer assistance. Since Zoltan does not have access to the vault it should have no impact on him, likewise for Jaaerk since he can't even be bothered to comment on the subject or simply free ryden.

Basically, the network of treaties and world peace is about to come crashing down due to ChrisChrispie's antics weakening the position of NovaCaesar and bringing the CKR's government down. Hopefully, Oldfriend's power play he mentioned earlier might soon be upon us, since he said high summer. With these new developments, a little push by him could take the whole world to war.
URGENT ISSUE
As many of you are probably NOT aware of, Versailles and Viridian, in their full states before their dissolved were admitted into the Holy Krautchan Empire under a vote with only one dissenting vote.
This leaves Polynesia and The Federal Government as well as Tazmily as the only places that have yet to join the Holy Krautchan Empire
This also leaves an interesting situation in which I'm not exactly sure what is part of The HKE and what isn't as it was done BEFORE the dissolution.
This is really a confusing lot of issues and I think we need to work this out with the HKE, they're children of a common mother so we should work together and co-operate with them to get this shit done.
Seriously we need to figure out how this whole Part of HKE AND Chanada thing works, especially with the recent strengthening of the federal government.

After thinking this through, and having a chat with camokool, I've come to the decision to offer the leadership of chanada a proposal.
What I am offering is for reddit to given to chanada, either to be administered as a seperate country or outright annexed. How it would be divied up and administered is not something that me and camo have spoken much of other than just pure speculation. Furthermore, 500 diamonds in reps would be paid to hantzu in exchange for clacton, as well as a full and public apology for the crimes committed on either this board, the subreddit, or both.
What I would like is the return of clacton to me (which will become an independent country within chanada ruled and owned by myself, essentially what it was back in december of last year), and the pardoning of all crimes against chanada (if there be any) for the following people (and ofc the lifting of exile, if there is one inforce):

Okay so I am certain bringing in /tg/ers and the old Bay12 crowd back to Civcraft would boost our overall strength and influence as well as generally increase population.
I'm going to make a Play with you Friends thread on the Bay, as well as PM a couple old timers who occasionally come on still to advertise the idea if and when we decide on a location for such a town if it's even viable.
I outlined a good city location, south of /int/is and west of aki. Right on the edge of the Amazon rainforest in the mountains. It would allow for the colonists from /tg/ and Bay12 to build a Dorf Fort as well as a town since the hills next to the mountains aren't that fucking bad, they can be flattened fairly quickly if need be.
Ideas? Thoughts? Concerns?

Alright, I made a new map based on my knowledge of the rails, iceroads, and territorial changes that have happened in the past few weeks. I am 100% sure I have fucked up a few things on this, so please note any additions, changes, ect. It would be nice if Kovio would make a nice-looking map along these lines as well.

We have both catpeterists and Christians living in our great nation and until the griefing of Catestine, we have lived side by side peacefully.
On the one hand, I see Catpeter as the true chanadian's religion, a volkish pagan practice (despite drawing rhetoric from islam) that the giants of chanada; it's founders practice. It cannot be denied that catpeter suffered for our sins in clone's vault, simply for meeming too hard - a crime all of us have been guilty of at one time or another. Catpeter is without a doubt a true chanadian martyr.
On the other hand I see great value in promoting a real life religion; christianity/orthodoxy; an anti-degenerate ideology over a religion who's avatar is, essentially; a cat's penis.
Ironically the church that catpeter bombed, was formally referred to at the Chanadian Orthodox Church of St. Catpeter, before suprabuilder changed the name. If you look at the church's history - from both sides of the schism - you will find rumors of pagan figures who were canonized for having certain pious qualities; St. Martin of the Fields, St Nicholas and even a saint based off a Christianized version of the Buddha; Josaphat (downgraded at vatican II)
I would ask that we call a religious conference to settle this dispute. Now is not the time for crusades, pearlings, and banning of relgions whilly-nilly. As seen in the last few days it only causes escalation.

Welcome Chanadia's latest territory: Jerusalem. Introducing a way to travel Civcraft with a goal
The first Wulfkhaine crusade to Tel Aviv left a great cross and claimed a Catpeterist city, renaming Catestein to Zion.
The second crusade was originally intended as a tour of our claimed city and cross, with all active members of Wulfkhaine.
While we were there, walking through the hellish city of Zion, our crusaders debated on improving the city to prove it was worthy of our occupation. Finally, we all decided on renovating the city.
It was not easy tearing it down, but eventually, it started looking better. The walls were the first focus - We made two wall layers and a series of trenches. The walls alone were enough to defend against rabid JIDF.
To further defend our holy land against the kike, we made a catapult that could launch coins, to distract JIDF forces long enough for us to strike them down or escape. We also made a shrine with an intimidating cross, which was blessed with the power to repel Jews, by striking fear into their souls.
Inside the walls we made the city of Jerusalem, complete with a church, blacksmith, shrine, and (incomplete) castle

Olympic Preparation and General Ministry of Infrastructure Thread
Okay, I felt the need to make this in order to coordinate things outside of the game and to help coordinate the Pan-Chan Olympics. This is a general listing of projects and priorities, along with a general Olympics discussion (until immerRichTig puts up a real thread for it).
1. THEPECHEUR13, your task is to redo the Himmler Highlands station. I trust you to make it look nice. If you need materials, just ask me. If you really don't want to work on it or feel out of ideas, that's okay, don't feel too pressured.
2. JoshJosh117, I need to get the Nether Factory station redone, really quickly, preferably within a week. All my other projects essentially depend on this and if you, myself, and the other people involved in the Olympics could help figure out what to make it look like, that'd be awesome.
3. We are looking for people willing and able to build a parkour course. Preferably somebody in /Pol/ynesia.
4. I need grunt labor to help build a railroad between Volkstadt-Nether Factory; Volkstadt-Wulfkhain; and Himmler Highlands-Wulfkhain. Yes, you will get paid for this, no, don't start it without me knowing, yes, Pecheur has the authority to tell you how to do it on the one between Volkstadt and Wulfkhain.
5. JoshJosh, Dave, Munter, I need to work with you redoing the rails between the Reich Tower, /V/ersailles, and /V/iridian. This is a long-term, low priority project, but ultimately it must be done. /Pol/ is poorly connected to them via rail and at this point there isn't much sense in having the Chanada Hub. We should plot the course of diagonal rails capable of handling supercarts.
6. Create connections between the 8026 and the /pol/ lines, but make them secure so that only people on polcastle can go from /pol/ lines to the 8026. This is a paying job, ask me if you want to get shekels, goyim.
7. The cactus farm in Volk needs some improvements. If you are willing to help, I can spare a small amount of payment, but I'd prefer if you did it for free. Immer is in charge of this (he gave the project to me, after all) and so ask him what to do with it.
8. All participants in the Olympics (as well as feedback on events) should post here about it. Abyssi, Kolima, HKE, Chanada residents welcome, Mt. Augustans and other redditors that we like can also join if they fill out the application immer is making.

Alright guys, I think it's about time we had another Chan meeting and this time we aren't going to half-ass it or pull it together at random. Next Saturday at 11pm (so the normies are home to attend), unless there are serious objections. (As a disclaimer, I am not advocating for anything in particular, I am just bringing up some of the Chanada-wide issues that I've heard discussed and think should be brought before the whole community in order to get a better plan and input going.)
Tentative Agenda:
1. Pan-Chan Olympics Events, community input, planning, coordination of efforts to build things for it.
2. Nether Factory and Vatichan City discussion, time goals, and planning (unless this topic is already beaten to death). Before the meeting, bls mine endstone, it's important, we need quite a bit of it.
3. The status of FAGT. HanTzu maintains that the Federal Assembly is not a part of Chanada, only Titan. If this is actually true which just about everybody thinks it's not, then we have a problem in regards to trespassing, bounty-hunting, and homesteading affairs. This is not a crisis, just something we should resolve before it becomes a problem.
4. Come to a final decision on whether Rekvia is actually fired from Xiphias' caretaking position and actually make a statement about it on the sub to prevent future issues. (This also ties into the AltBot issue)
5. General [delete this] update, how much needs to be done, publicize labor and payment opportunities, ect.
6. Possibly some CIC planning, but that might not need the entire community input.
7. Resin4Life's /b/ town and general recruitment. Chanada has a lot of skilled players, but our quantity is starting to drop so low as to drag down our quality and efficiency at which we accomplish projects, at least as far as I can see. This may be a misperception. Despite repeated attempts at shilling, no shill waves have been successful for a while and this is a massive long-term problem, if not an immediate short-term crisis. (This is not to say that we are 'dying' or 'dead' or other hysterical crap. Chanada is actually doing fine, we just need to be aware of a growing issue.)
8. Kovio's proposal for Chanada to break our isolationist stance and put our weight behind an anti-WP defensive alliance. There is a lot of support for this in the lower ranks of the newer generation of players, as well as some sentiments from Oldfriend to a similar effect, so this is something that we should discuss and actually think about before we write it off.
In short, we've really pulled together as a community over the AltBot and SadisticMoose issue and the Pan-Chan Olympics, which we should be proud of ourselves for. I don't think we are yet at our peak, so we need to discuss what direction we wish to bring the Confederacy in the long term.

Chanada has entered a period of evolution. The old order, that has long dominated, is beginning to finally fade. /V/iridian is finally on the way out. /A/kihabara is essentially dead except for WojtekPaint. FAGT is almost completely gone and Titan is a deconstructed ghost town. MobAction never does anything and Atlas is basically just empty land.
Of the remaining five nations, two are protectorates of /pol/, one is /k/ and almost universally disliked for their isolationism, and /V/ersailles is struggling along as usual.
Kovio is moving on and the server has moved one from the Titan War. Papa is freed and lurking in Libertas/Nox, along with the remaining HCF from the war. HanTzu doesn't appear to be rebuilding the military might of Titan. Chanada remains and like always we endure. But in this server, we must do more than simply survive, we must thrive and grow. Move forward.
Chanada needs a vision, something to unite us with common purpose and bring us forward. Something that isn't just a means to an end but rather an ideal to strive for. We stand at the fork of a road and see many paths ahead of us. I do not speak for just one nation, but rather us as a confederation. What is our purpose? Our goal? Are we even fighting for anything anymore?
In short, we need a vision and we need leadership capable of organizing people to achieve that vision. Especially since we are ever more divided at home, we are increasingly at war with ourselves. Conversely, we are more united as Channers than ever before. reddit is gone. The time has come for us to bury the ghosts of the past and find a vision for the future, lest we lose our way entirely and slowly drift to irrelevance.

Thanks for all of the good times, memes, and all of that shit, it means a lot more than you'd think. Civcraft and its players helped me forget about real life for an hour or two, and let me compensate for being lonely and some other things.
I guess I will have to find something to replace civcraft with. I don't know where I am going with this, I don't want to write anymore nor have to address any of this.

After much labor, I have finished the analysis of /Pol/ynesia's last three shill waves. This will be updated to include the next shill wave, when it comes, probably this week or so. Some interesting findings stick out.
1. We are increasing the percentage of people we are getting on mumble enormously, however as a percentage of people we bring in, they are not actually all that more active. This implies that getting people onto mumble is not actually encouraging them to become regular players, but rather helping to coordinate things. There is a correlation so far, but we need more data points to determine whether bringing people onto mumble actually has a large effect on player activity.
2. We have enormously cut the losses from people who log in only once to make the pilgrimage, which corresponds to the push for getting people onto mumble. What is clear is that people cannot feel lost and confused, or else they will leave, this much we already knew.
3. Remarkably few people play intermittently. Almost everybody plays consistently every day or doesn't play at all. People tend to play in stretches, not periodic short bursts.
4. Defections and pearlings have been on the increase, though most of this increase is /Pol/ynesian newfriends decamping to /k/ and /v/. This is a good thing. Bringing in new people for other countries helps us all.
5. People brought in by their friends are the most likely to quit, followed by thread recruits. The least likely people to leave are the random goers who join outside the threads and have no prior connections. Friends also quit in groups, overstating the effects of quitting. This has led the last shill wave to be MUCH less active than it would otherwise be. (Diamondhog & Zer0_the_Penguin, Smexyhex & The_Iron_Mudkip make up about a third of the quittings in total.)
Anyhow, it's an interesting read, it's right here. For the purposes of data, I lumped people like Sarahsbum into my shill wave. If we excluded the random additions outside the normal pushes, the number of active people would drop.

City Planning/Architecture General (Volkstadt Community Thread)

I guess the suburban sprawl that consumed /V/iridian and the rest has finally reached us. I'm not saying that we should have building codes, because that's a can of worms we shouldn't open, but I'm saying that when you make a building, you need to be cognizant of the fact that you are helping to build a city, not just your building. Anything you build should be measured up to the other buildings in town, everything that is made must be in the context of the others.
Immer, I did give the seal of approval for your building, but in retrospect it doesn't fit with the overall 'feel' of Volkstadt. It's not a bad building, it's just...off with the rest of the town. The other buildings pictured are, well, not at all fitting with the town as a whole.
I love the way that Volkstadt is going and I know that people have lots of architectural talent, so I'm not trying to be a dick about this. All I'm saying is, in the future, try to take the whole town into account, please.

On the 17th of may I came to kompound to meme on their kube as my religion the church of gato pedro, dictates I was going to repair the kube and give back their holyartifacts but rasquito attacked me inside of city walls. Things escalated from their and led to me calling on to my foreign legionarios to defend spainland. After going inside of /k/ to avoid things going further down the shit. I admit that pearling Mr_D was unfounded but I felt like I was threatend and he tried to engage me and my legionario. and the rest is history
