The general consensus of this short writing piece will focus on a more, circumscribed area of tribalism. The hierarchy - In national socialist Germany, die Fuhrer, was onto of that command chain, bellow, follows the government and then the Volk (The common people). When a member of the lower party, acts on their own behalf to take a shot at the leader, it better be for a just cause, in a case like this, the fuhrer will be sympathetic to the issue and work with the team. However, if the cause is not just and attacks the fuhrer, it would be a surprise if the furher was not resilient.

You want me to admit that I was wrong immer? Fine, paper currency was a case of mistaken execution. Through my own fault, I put the system in a position where it could collapse with a single heist like this. I didn't protect the crib from those who would wish to smother the child.

Do I regret it? No. You told me you didn't want a paper currency adopted nationwide. Fine, but that's not going to bar me from applying it on a local level with the power YOU delegated to me. You had your opportunity to put the foot down and shut it all down before it was truly applied, but you retreated. I didn't guilt you, and I mentioned that I would change it back if ordered. You let it run though, be it out of trust for me or because you wanted to watch it crumble as part of some sadistic game. Regardless, the consequences of the currency collapse have been surprisingly minimal upon reflection, and Volk to this day brags a healthy treasury despite our losses. In the end, short of the bounty you placed on the head of the perpetrator (which I could have still easily self-funded), the consequences this fiasco has on you or the government as a whole is minimal. People weren't generally getting any more Reichsmarks than they needed, thus there is little that still needs to be paid back to the citizens. The only major inconvenience is trying to change back all the shops to iron/diamond, which will take a day tops.

But if you're that butthurt about it all, by all means: fire me. I'll happily leave you to sort out the tangled, bureaucratic web that Volk's administration has become to be able to run with any degree of efficiency or responsiveness. If not though, perhaps it is best to leave things at our initial understanding: with the powers I have been delegated, I will run the town with a certain degree of autonomy until called upon to act towards national interest. At the same time, you let the powers you delegate to operate as they were designed, understanding that occasional straying from a largely unspoken national agenda is inevitable but, in general, easily rectified.

And as for the architectural concerns, there is a reason that most foreigners who come to our town are captivated. It is a beautiful city in most cases, and it is important for the fostering of future growth that it stay aesthetically consistent. Having a thread devoted to it was pointless, but that does not make the concerns themselves invalid. Your bookstore is fine for the most part, but there are a number of buildings involved that are shit, and there is no reason why we shouldn't be able to call them out as such, especially when they were built with a known, written building code as part of the property-holder's agreement.

Though we have already discussed this in mumble, I want to set the record straight and justify a little of my action here.

Firstly, I never supported the paper currency, so any talk of me pushing for it and getting Tigen to implement it behind your back is untrue.

Secondly, I haven't said anything the rest of the nation hasn't already said. Literally every single newfag in Volk with an eye for architecture has noticed the housing trend that Azjerben and Sanshi are helping along: out of place buildings. Just because I'm the one to bring it to attention doesn't mean that this is just an opinion I have alone. I've never done a single thing that other people haven't either told me to do or told me was a good idea. The difference is that a lot of the consul I have gotten on my words and actions has been from the civilian populace, not the government. (This applies to every building demolition, by the way. I wouldn't have taken out a block if people like Bonkymnobols and Kallak hadn't said it was a good idea.)

I respect immer enormously, you guys are my friends and the last thing I need is for infighting to become a reason for us to not get along. That being said, I'm caught in a catch-22. You can have self-directed or somebody who checks in at every turn. It is not feasible to have both, even in real life it's a pain in the ass, never mind a game like this. I am, I would say, reasonably successful, and most of that is due to projects I have undertaken of my own accord that just happen to not be something you disagreed with.

I think everybody has a remarkably similar vision of /Pol/ynesia, but at the end of the day I am caught between being an inferior member of government, but yet also one of the prominent members of the civilian populace. There are many times when my heart tells me to take charge of a situation and I follow it's lead and it ends up fucking me in the end.
